A green background featuring a yellow megaphone reads: Here's what some of our 81 member nonprofits have been up to last week.
A green graphic featuring the logos of Voces de la Frontera and ACLU Wisconsin reads: Voces de la Frontera, represented by the ACLU of Wisconsin, filed a brief with the Wisconsin Supreme Court last week. Voces v. Gerber is asking the Court to reject a motion by five sheriffs to further delay proceedings in Voces’ challenge to the legality of ICE detainers. Across the five counties currently stuck in this delay, more than 100 detainers had been prepared by ICE from December 30, 2025 through March 10, 2026.
A green graphic featuring a grey circle with a justice symbol and ACLU of Wisconsin logo at the top reads: As many communities across Wisconsin push back against Flock Safety cameras, the ACLU of Wisconsin has reported that more than 221 law enforcement agencies, along with various private companies and homeowners associations, use this surveillance system to monitor their communities—including Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).A green graphic featuring a grey circle with a family symbol and Wisconsin Early Childhood Association logo at the top reads: The Child Care Bridge Payment Program, a temporary stabilization initiative to help cover childcare costs after the pandemic, is set to expire in a few days. Childcare costs in Wisconsin significantly outpace inflation, and the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association reports that around three-quarters of child care centers said they will need to raise costs without the payments.
