I remember reading that the C64 version was bashed out in about 6 weeks in time for Christmas and was full of bugs. The newer version is much better. I've always liked it.

I've spent thrtlast 20 years accumulating chips from a lot of different places. Hong Kong, Thailand, China etc. I've never believed in the strip and spares. Ever. 👍

I think that's the dual opamp, but not sure. I've definitely seen that before though. Don't think it serves a purpose. I'd ping out the connections to the tape deck from the C64 connector, make sure they all peep. 👍

Yup, they are all the same. Some came with Jiffy DOS roms and they aren't 100% compatible even with the Commodore rom. Some fast loading disk routines drive them potty.... 👍
