You cannot worship a man publicly executed by thr state on Sunday and livestream a state execution on Monday. You cannot kneel before the crucified Christ and cheer the machinery of death. You cannot proclaim a gospel of redemption while turning another human being’s death into a spectacle.

ALWAYS THIS. Part of the reason why our society is currently so messed up is because of abuse from the top 5%

White text on a black background that reads "I'd much rather a poor person abuse the system and end up with more than the bare minimum it takes to survive than a rich person abuse the system to make more money than anyone would ever need."

Watching the #DoctorWho Wholidays marathon before I watch the new episode "Joy to the World." I love The Stolen Earth & Journey's End so much, though both episodes make me cry EVERY TIME. Not just the ending of JE but so many scenes. Such good stuff. Thank you Russell T. Davies. You "get" The Doctor

Soon! So very soon. It's actually starting to feel like fall is coming. This time last year and well into October it was absurdly hot. This past week we've had a few low humidity days and in the late afternoon when the wind was blowing and I was standing in the shade you could feel a hint of autumn

I love the idea of book vending machines in schools -- especially if getting them involves rewards so kids from all financial backgrounds can enjoy them. Also, on principle I have to add "fuck book bans." Reading opens minds. We need more people reading, not less. #BanBookBans #ReadMore #Books

A breakdown of the cost of the #WGA proposal if the AMPTP accepted everything as is. As you can see, it's a tiny fraction of their profits. It's absurd to lose money from shutdown productions instead of paying up - and even Wall Stt analysts are starting to say that. #WGA #WGAstrong #WGAstrike

This sums up the problem w/today’s wage inequality and big corporations and landlords driving up prices disproportionate to costs. When a lawyer today can’t afford a 1 bedroom apartment that same person had just starting out & working as a server, a reckoning for the 1% is overdue

The #TTRG / tabletop game industry needs a union, too. #Paizp unionized. Games Workshop needs one, too, though a larger industry-wide game creation union would be better. Look at the recent wins by #IATSE #UPS #Teamsters. And support the #WGA and #SAGAFTRA strikes. #unionize

The Games Workshop CEO made $1.4 million last year. The lowest 25% made 25k. The highest 25% made 36k. Shareholder dividends doubled. You have no upward mobility as an employee and your company is crazy profitable. You need a union.
