Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 07/08/2026Someone alert the newspapers that I’m starting my new career as a political cartoonist. The asking price for the original art is $1,000 but I can be talked down. 140
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 15/07/2026If you buy this cover you’re not allowed to make fun of Rob Liefeld’s anatomy anymore. 000

Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 06/07/2026Whoo boy the title on that comic cover sure lands differently in 2026 than it did when this was published in Liberty Annual 2010. 041
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 29/06/2026Bloodstar was the first comic to market itself as a “graphic novel” and that’s the perfect descriptor for this book. It mixes sections of prose with larger comic sections, beautifully drawn by Corben. This might be what gets me to finally read the Howard books I own. 010
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 24/06/2026I found it. The first match going backwards where I can for sure say that Bully is better than someone else in the match and it’s Velvet Sky. The absolute state of this card. My goodness. 010
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 20/06/2026Ditko drawing Thing makes him look like he has Grover’s proportions. 010
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 11/06/2026Judge Dredd cameo as a parade balloon in DC Comics Presents #52. Drawn by Keith Giffen this book is the first appearance of Ambush Bug. 010
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 31/05/2026Went on a big Kim Deitch kick last weekend. Alias the Cat was absolutely fantastic, I’m still thinking about it a week later. 110
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 24/05/2026Just so happened to open the box at work that had the new Criminal book in it so I took it home a little early. Another tremendous book from Brubaker and Phillips. 130
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 16/05/2026Looking at original Wally Wood art is incredible. Just gorgeous stuff. 030
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 11/05/2026Prune Face blasting this lady with a rock is the best moment of Dick Tracy’s 1942. 020
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 08/05/2026Why’d they make Superman look like Teddy Perkins? 010
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 07/05/2026This was a tremendous read and I can’t imagine how they put this adaptation together. Definitely need to track down the other two books in this trilogy. 100
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 28/04/2026I finished reading A Garden of Spheres yesterday and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Beautiful art from cover to cover. So many people try to make sci-fi comics like this and most fail. I can’t wait to explore this world more in the next book. 1503
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 26/04/2026I’ve been real bad about updating this because, well, look at my recent posts. Anyway, I just finished Hide and Seek and thought it was fantastic. If you have any interest in 70’s shojo horror manga, you gotta pick this up. 110
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 28/03/2026Ultraman and Kamen Rider cameos in Ultraheaven vol 2 000
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 28/03/2026News broke about Yoshiharu Tsuge’s death today and I had to reread The Man Without Talent because of it. What a masterpiece. Alt-manga doesn’t become what it is today without Tsuge’s influence. RIP to a master. 110
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 22/03/2026I’ve been slowly making my way through this, but decided to read the entire second half this morning because 1942 should be dropping this week. So much fun. I’m very happy I’ve embraced being an old man in my comic reading. 110
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 22/03/2026These volumes of Kamui are so incredibly dense it took me about a week to get through. I could definitely see people getting radicalized by these stories of class struggle. 120
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 18/03/2026I ran some wrestling pictures I took in Japan in 2019 though the Heisei VHS filter and DUDE 230
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 13/03/2026God I love this series. It’s the perfect mix of warring states era political drama and slapstick comedy. And Tetsuo Hara’s art is just incredible. 310
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 07/03/2026GET IN THE CAR! GROCERY STORE HAS GUMBY SALE! 110
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 03/03/2026I’m reading Dick Tracy strips from 1941 and thought the spelling of clue as clew was interesting so I did some research and found out the origins of the word. While clew had called out of favor as the spelling of clue, it was most likely used here as a reference to Sherlock Holmes’ use of it. 010
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 02/03/2026Turns out that a comic strip based around a mouse trying to bean a cat in the head with a brick is very funny. 100
Kelly Harrass @comicgeekelly.bsky.social · 01/03/2026A mouse named Minnie in a Krazy Kat strip from May 14, 1916. 020
