Happy to see Wedge and Biggs on the far left in their Rebel pilot uniforms. Now, as long as the story delivers a panel of Richard Rider’s Nova flying alongside Wedge Antilles in his X-Wing, I can die a happy man. 🤞🙏🥹

I picked up these five back issues for myself. Thrilled to finally have the Marvel Fumetti Book. And looking forward to reading Sgt Fury and his Howling Commandos #51 to remind myself why I added it to my Want List several years ago.

Like vintage toys and comic books from the 60s to 90s? Then finding your way to Blue Ridge Comics & Toys in Marion VA might be just the thing for you. A modest number of long boxes, and a large selection of toys helped me kill an hour this afternoon.

Not loving this announcement when logging into the Marvel Unlimited app this morning. I’ll probably just cancel my membership, then wait to hear what the general consensus is on the new platform.
Pop up box text: Update on your Marvel Unlimited membership. The Marvel Unlimited app will be sunset as of 12/7, and a new Marvel Comics app powered by WEBTOON will be launching on 11/16. To learn more about how this impacts your membership and digital comic library. Please visit our FAQ.

#BattleTech Natural Selection was another stellar tale by Michael Stackpole. Politics and war were well represented, but the usual romantic plot was largely absent this time. Sacrificed for the assassin plot maybe? It sets a lot of stuff in motion that I’m hoping plays out over the next few books.

Went and saw the new #ResidentEvil movie with my son yesterday. It was very entertaining. Not deep in anyway, or surprising from the way the story was told. It felt like watching a video game character moving through levels, but imbued with a lot of fun and emotion. Austin Abrams was excellent.

I love the Thing suit! The next issue was one of the first FF comics I ever read and has this eye catching panel of Ben unzipping the outfit and revealing some of its internal structure. I thought that was cool as heck and it always stuck with me.

Did anyone else catch this? In the opening sequence, one of the Rebel flightdeck officers is called “Jace”. Could this be a relative of Rogue Squadron pilot Bror Jace? An uncle maybe who fled the bacta production corporation their family runs on Thyferra??? Nah, probably not.

No, I actually enjoyed the show, Mike. But episode eight should have been episode six. Just felt artificially inflated. Neagley is a spin-off of Reacher on Prime. Also the name of a supporting character on that show, which is based on the Lee Child series of books. I recommend watching that first.

I was totally going to mention Teen Titans Go. I did not understand all the hate. That show was ridiculous but also super fun. I wouldn’t say it I enjoyed it as much as the previous Teen Titans cartoon, which I collected the action figures. Having kids made me love going to Toys R Us again. 😆

I am pleased to say I am happy with this new version of the Legion. I could quibble about a few things but that would be more about my fondness for the past than any issue with this new volume. Joshua Williamson has written a story that honors Legion history while forging a new interesting path.

My Interlac is spotty at best but I’m pretty sure these two signs at the bottom right of Page 5 spell out “Levitz” and “Giffen”. That’s right, I’m five pages into the new Legion of Super-Heroes #1 and loving Hayden Sherman‘s art, while appreciative of this nod to the book’s past I’m so fond of.

Watching this movie “A Week Away” and when the scene cuts to an interior cabin, I noticed in the background a few comic books. The one on top is clearly Cable #27 with Ian Churchill cover art. But that sliver of a much older DC Comic behind it looks familiar that I feel like I should know it too.
