Comfy the Ghost @comfytheghost.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I do think there is a place for finding yourself in that kind of media, especially if you come from a background that is actively suppressing queer content. But yeah, go watch some Jonni Peppers or Bea Jumpup! Support trans creators and proactively seek them out! 000
Comfy the Ghost @comfytheghost.bsky.social · 08/10/2026If I understand your take correctly, I think the recent DLSS 5 discussion encapsulates it well. So many people were like, "look how silly and ugly this is!" instead of talking about the actual problems with using ai to generate graphics real time. 000

Comfy the Ghost @comfytheghost.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I recently followed a rabbit hole down to the illustrator of the Animorphs books, David Mattingly, and found his substack. He seems like quite a character, but also, going through all the matte paintings he's made really put into perspective how much work used to go into even cheap books. 041

Comfy the Ghost @comfytheghost.bsky.social · 20/09/2026I think sometimes it can feel very empowering to hit a brick wall until you eventually break it. I think of Noah Caldwell-Gervais' review of Elden Ring and fighting Malenia. But then again, Super Mario Bros 2 (JPN) might be the least fun I've ever had with a game, and that was non-stop frustration. 110
Comfy the Ghost @comfytheghost.bsky.social · 20/09/2026This was literally why I quit Dark Souls the first two times I tried to get into it. I've since come to love the series, but I will never call it fair. 000
Comfy the Ghost @comfytheghost.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Now that I see that set piece with that double jump, I can't help but feel this game is a spiritual successor to Toy Story 2 on PS1 and N64. 000

Comfy the Ghost @comfytheghost.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I recently played a game called Mama's Sleeping Angels, and it really hit that itch of not knowing what to expect or how to do things while also having an in-game list of hints for unlocks. It's not a game everyone will enjoy (especially visually), but I really had fun figuring it out. 010
Comfy the Ghost @comfytheghost.bsky.social · 18/09/2026I keep thinking that Asura's Wrath is what this game should have been. High adrenaline set pieces with campy cutscenes to break them up. QTEs for doing stuff normal combat can't. Visceral things. For accessibility I think it's okay to have un-losable QTEs (though I do like funny loss states). 000
Comfy the Ghost @comfytheghost.bsky.social · 18/09/2026It reads to me like someone who feels a need to justify their kink. Like they know their preference is subjective and problematic, so they come up with an excuse to apply it to all female characters. "You will be ashamed of your words and deeds" energy. 000
Comfy the Ghost @comfytheghost.bsky.social · 16/09/2026The thing is, they could have made a fun game with a rigid linear story. Azura's Wrath has very little player agency, but it is a phenomenal action game with an engaging story. They literally could have just made a game where you only play set pieces and never have to worry about getting stuck! 000

Comfy the Ghost @comfytheghost.bsky.social · 14/09/2026One of the great things about branching out is realizing how much cheaper non-D&D games are. Most games only need one person to have a book, and there aren't two books worth of rules. The indy scene has all kinds of free games too. Games like Knave or Mausritter are fun, free, and easy to learn! 150
Comfy the Ghost @comfytheghost.bsky.social · 14/09/2026For me it was the realization that "not D&D" didn't just mean moving to Pathfinder or Shadowrun or one of the other tentpole games. There's this misconception that other games are just d20 with more math. Blew my mind discovering most games are easier to learn and more fun. Not to mention cheaper. 230
