The world is falling apart and I’m angry but there’s also a continuously growing memorial at work for a roach that died a month ago and no one has cleaned up. Today he got a coffin:

a roach that has been dead for a month on a staircase lies in a white matchbox with a coffin drawn on the outside, the coffin has a cross and his name “Roachy.” Behind him are a gray headstone with his name and the date 12-6-25. There are also photos of classy funeral floral arrangements that have been printed and taped to a white wall. One arrangement reads “dad” and another is Green Bay packers themed, another has a cross since the roach was a Christian.

I’ve been making an effort to spend time outside every day even though it feels like walking through a bowl of hot soup. Here’s some phone pics of today’s critters: a green anole and a Mississippi kite
