post was too long but there was no good way to trim it

bluesky message that is 67 characters too long to tweet.

intuited based on context clues that one of my rivals was in one of those "restart the day if you die but keep your memories" type scenarios, so i invested in a Science Tube i could deploy around him while he slept and had it nerve gas him automatically without anyone operating it to talk to. did not know that would destroy the universe. so, that's my bad, i guess,

my favorite rldb, @astreagame.bsky.social, got a massive update last month that i only just noticed, adding nice QoL plus a TON of new dice, blessings, and events. i did one run and it was already the funniest run i've ever had, clearing the game on Anomaly Level Unknown in just an hour and a half

Chickens // Have you ever seen a man so elegant, so composed as Chozo? Every step he takes is confidence. Like he's never once felt threatened in his status as flock leader, sees no need to prove himself. He allows others to eat first, never harasses the hens... Yet unmistakably, he is THE top roo.

Chozo, a deep brown and black bantam silkie roo with a gigantic bulbous comb and incredibly large purple-red wattles, as seen under the red light of a head lamp. His plumage is lush and healthy. He stands on a complex raised wooden platform, leaning forward, comb pointed towards the camera, head tilted slightly to see around it.

In this photo, he's standing to the side, his bulbous comb like a rose growing from his skull. His crest feathers, pushed back by his comb, flow into streamers and into his hackles elegantly.

In this photo, Chozo has his chest puffed out and his head back, tilted to his right. His crest feathers, under the red clow, look like a normal chicken's comb, similar in appearance to the rhode island red hen roosting in the rafters behind and above him. Also behind and above, but on the other side, are Loof, Pocket, and Temper, three young pullets, at least one of which is likely his child.

Chozo is positioned fully sideways, looking up at the hen above him. At this angle, his feathers glow under the red light. Loof, the black pullet above him on the side, looks out from her roost at the camera.

Chickens // how did Big Dubs get so big!? she is DWARFING this tire! she is so big that she needs a bra for her crop... that normally is a thing only for older hens, but i guess if she is SOOOOO BIG then even a one year old can need one.......

Big Dubs, a very large rhode island red hen, standing big and tall on a tire in the run, reaching up to eat seeds from my hand

Chickens // Thirteen weeks for da Burgundy Brigade! An auspicious number for auspicious birds!! - LOOF has finally posed for the camera and it's the bigfoot pose, of course it is - NIGHTREIGN keeps dodging around cutely. She's a supermodel - TEMPER has started beardmaxxing? - POCKET has really not

Loof, a young silkie pulled with black plumage marked by a brown collar, walking slightly away and looking over her back at the camera

Nightreign, a young silkie pullet with dark grey plumage with flecks of brown, and a desaturated brown breast.

Temper, a young silkie pulled with speckled buff and brown and grey plumage, and a magnificent crest that totally covers her head, plus a beard that goes up to her eyes.

Pocket, a young silkie pullet with white plumage. The way it covers her eyes makes it look like angry eyebrows, but she's not angry.

Chickens // At TWENTY-ONE WEEKS, the Pirate Patrol are basically ADULTS now! This concludes their [bi]weekly updates, though I will never stop posting birds c: Zoomer has become a lovely young lady. Very demure, but willing to defend herself. Geemer is a very handsome young man! He has such style!

Zoomer, a young buff silkie pullet, walking along a path tile over dirt. Her buff plumage breaks into grey black around her tail. Her beard is small, but enough to hide her wattles.

Zoomer, a young buff silkie pullet, close to and facing the camera. You can see her short silkie comb and her muppet-esque build, with very little foot feathering.

Geemer, a young buff-orange silkie cockerel, paused in the path over to the side yard. His streamers are elegant and undamaged, and his earlobes are a very vibrant cyan that contrasts his wattles and bulbous comb well. You can also see his iridescent black-green sickle feathers on his tail, and his generous leg and foot feathers.

Geemer, a young buff-orange silkie cockerel, posing on the rocks by the pool. The buff feathers give way to orange and then brown-black on his wings. His bumpy, forked comb is on full display, and you can see his completely unearned masculine confidence in his eyes.

Chickens // They're... i mean all my birds are babies, but... At twelve weeks, they're... teenagers...? - LOOF is still Refuses To Be Photographed Normal - NIGHTREIGN is really getting a wild aesthetic about her - TEMPER's speckled plumage is finally settling down into something coherent - POCKET

Loof, a fledgling silkie pullet standing way too close to the camera so her head looks very big and her brown collar seems to stretch out from her black plumage.

Nightreign, a fledgling silkie pullet with dark grey plumage but with a brown breast and a few buff feathers around the neck.

Temper, a fledgling silkie pullet with buff and brown and black and grey feathers. Her crest in particular is an eclectic mix of buff and black and brown.

Pocket, a fledgling silkie pullet with all white plumage and no beard. She's walking about the path stones.

i realized that the correct word was irrecoverable, not unrecoverable... also, i realized i had missed cutting out some of the parts where the transparency was killed between strands of hair when i saved it as a bitmap to load the bitstream into audacity for reverb. here's what will prob go to print

An alter of "Teferi's Protection," renamed "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku," featuring full card art of Hatsune Miku having fallen limp and glitching out of existence atop a baoken radio tower in front of the moon. on the right side of Miku, the background is glitching just like Miku is, but it's normal on the left.

Chickens // They're now ELEVEN WEEKS OLD? I have become pretty sure that they're all girls, somehow. - LOOF is such an active baby, still by far the hardest to photograph. - NIGHTREIGN is the clear cuddliest one. - TEMPER is just out here Doing stuff, man. - POCKET poses for the camera every time

Loof, a black silkie fledgling with a brown collar, leaning forward at the camera, captured in the One Frame she wasn't moving.

Nightreign, a dark grey silkie fledgling with a some buff feathers in her breast and hackles, and some grey around the legs. She's walking around the garden space, and she has a nice crest.

Temper, a speckled buff and brown and grey silkie fledgling with a particularly large beard and crest. She's foraging on a little metal predator trap cage, and her neck is spun around backwards while she's looking straight up.

Pocket, a white silkie fledgling with nooooo beard. She's standing up curiously on the garden soil.

Chickens // NINETEEN WEEKS! Change is slowing, so I skipped week eightteen on purpose. They are almost adult, after all! Zoomer and Geemer adventured all the way up to the play structure at yard's end! Brave! And wow, Zoomer's beard is very fresh now, and Geemer's earlobes are so big and vibrant 😊

Zoomer, a pale buff silkie pullet with some grey in the thigh and tail feathering. She's looking up, and she has a healthy beard and crest feathers. She's stepping through tiny ground-layer leaves.

Geemer, an orange-buff silkie cockerel with a black spot in his crest. He's looking wide-eyed as the camera, with a bumpy little red comb, healthy red wattles, and vibrant cyan earlobes. He's walking through fallen douglas-fir needles and sticks, and there's part of an old slide behind him.

Zoomer and Geemer foraging together through the varied greenery that's grown up around an old playstructure. a swingset is visible behind them, with large ferns behind it.

Zoomer and Geemer running up to the camera together, accidentally illuminated by the camera flash I forgot to turn off. Geemer's left leg is too blurred by motion to be seen, and Zoomer is only barely in focus, because they are quickly approaching to see if I have treats for them (and I do). The support beams for the play structure can be seen from another angle here, though no individual items can be seen through the large ferns.

told people in my discord about my favorite color, blellow (image 1: cross your eyes and let the yellow and blue squares merge, then let your eyes resolve the difference and force your brain to see the impossible) and @rosiebranwen.bsky.social made this meme (image 2) for me

a yellow square and a blue square. blind people, you will just have trust me on this one, but normally mixing these colors either thru pigment or thru light makes a green color. however, by getting one eye to see yellow and one eye to see blue, while crossing your eyes so they overlap, your brain can construct an impossible color that is an intermediate shade of blue-yellow.

Chickens // It's raining tonight, and therefore cold outside. And I was already thinking for a few days that I wanted to spend some inside time with Temper. So, I brought them in with me. I was concerned because they're generally more skittish than their siblings. But WOW this baby conked out fast

Temper, a fledgling silkie with speckled buff and grey plumage backed with hints of white and black, resting atop me as a I lie down. Mostly out of frame, they are atop my left breast, or rather atop a desaturated light azure or sky blue shirt. Their neck is stretched out wide, and draped over my left arm. Their beak hangs ever so slightly open.
