I've been trying to do some recording of the oil pastel process so I have a few videos to do voice overs for. Are there questions you have about en plein air, oil pastels or mixed media? Are there other topics you'd like for me to explore?

In Massachusetts, we have a responsibility to protect the vulnerable and stand up for those who need it. We don’t throw trans kids under the bus for political points. We protect them—and all of our neighbors—because trans rights are human rights.

Sigh. I was 90% of the way through a residency application, I just had to load my photos and a brief synopsis of my project... The application deadline was listed as today, I assumed (wrongly) that the deadline was the end of the day. It was 12:01am. WTAF Dang it.

A couple of 7x10 inch images on 9x12 inch paper of scenes on trail that I took photos of. Images rendered with Rubens oil pastels. I didn't make any art while we were away but I took a lot of photos to work from.

I made this little painting on my first day of vacation. It perfectly highlights the perils of working in public. Noise, music, etc... I needed to do a voiceover because of the issues. I also worked larger. youtu.be/8WS06ViJ_8k

I had noticed a scuff on the rear passenger side door of the car. It looks like someone dragged a backpack along the length of the car and then jammed their door into my car. Also... Someone backed into the front end. (I always back into a space at work.) It would take serious effort to back into

Someone reached over my fence and cut my peach tree branches. It happened in the last 2 weeks. I would have been fine, and have been in the past with them cutting the overhanging limbs. But they reached over the fence and cut limbs that were not overhanging and the damage is not slight.

My wife and I got started on the trip prep. We're doin 3 nights and 4 days in western Ma. 3 nights camping. We set up the tent we're using. No issues, super easy set up. We also pumped up our SUP to make sure they are holding air. I also took the time to add the new d-rings onto mine to .

So... Additional work changes have been announced. They are fundamentally changing our college prep program. We don't have details on how it will be handled or what it will look like. The woman in charge is leaving rather than staying for the restructuring. Which tells me a lot.

I did just over 8 miles on my regular bike today. It was a leisurely ride with a stop to make art. I've been ramping up the miles slowly as my knee is still not where it used to be. And likely never will be. That said 8 miles felt good. I feel good. I've also dropped 4 pounds in the last 2 weeks.

One of the changes is that they are closing our Film School and letting 2 staff people go. They are getting severance. The staff leaving?

A person I know is planning a big printmaking thing. They are not an expert in this thing but I am. They declined to ask my opinion. Instead they asked a man, who is also not an expert. He concurred with me. Later in a meeting I spoke out that the ink they intended to use would not work.
