my girlfriend sometimes says "nahone" to me (a shortening of "naruhodo ne") and i've always wondered where she picked that phrase up from turns out it's apparently from korone LMAO youtube.com/watch?v=1nRk...

that being said i feel like the annoying dog persona has sort of just become toby fox's canonical appearance in my head like what do you mean toby fox is some guy from masssachusetts. no, he's a white fluffy pomeranian that programs in bark-to-text and plays the piano using his fluffy paws

ngl man, i get that deltarune has very good lgbt rep (especially lesb and trans) but i think it's just,,,,,,, super ultra weird to start questioning toby fox's gender identity or sexuality because of that like,,,, come on man, leave his personal life alone lol

a significant part of the misogynistic paternalism men throw around towards women in stem subjects today is the belief that women might be "formally smart", trained to good at books and facts, calculators, computers, but they "lack the capacity for brilliant, deep insights, core logic & leadership"

for PC #UNDERTALE "Undertale: Just Have Fun" is what you want (it includes not just NXTALE borders but also the other console features) gamebanana.com/mods/542409 there's also UndertaleDecomp but i'm too dumb to figure out how to build that

btw for any PC #DELTARUNE players, i recommend using the NXRUNE mod so you can get the PS5/PS4/switch borders gamejolt.com/games/nxrune... i hoenstly think they add a lot to the game artistically and its weird that the PC ver still doesn't have them :/

idk if anyone else would find this helpful but i got so annoyed at discord unpatching vencord every time they update the "real" macos app (vs just the web parts) that i made an **unofficial** fork that adds the CLI to macOS so the patching process can be a single command github.com/comfiestsofa...

AAA games are just so expensive now :/ especially over here in canada we dont get regional pricing so the wallet damage is worse (despite the 1:1 USD conversion, we have higher taxes and lower wages) as an example, forza horizon 6 is "only" 90 cad (70 usd) but many others are in the 100-110 range

000

sofa @comfiestsofa.anomaly.moe · 21/06/2026

macbook neo if you are ok with using macos and if its available in your country i dont own one (i have an older macbook pro) but at that price point especially in the ai apocalypse we're in, you really cant beat the value factoring in build/display quality, etc compared to the windows competition

and even beyond that it's just going to limit people's worldviews. can't know what's going on out in the world, what things are like in other places

000

even worse for people from households that have views that dont align with their own (extremely religious, anti lgbt, etc) or just downright abusive where will they go?

sofa @comfiestsofa.anomaly.moe · 16/06/2026

banning people from the internet (not just "social media") is going to have really, really horrible effects for so many. especially for the ones that just don't fit in (lgbt, autists, disabled children, bullying victims) i don't think lawmakers understand just how vicious children can be

110

sofa @comfiestsofa.anomaly.moe · 16/06/2026

the news was always kinda sad and depressing, sure. best to take it in moderation but god it sure got a lot worse in 2025 and especially 2026, what with just near constant news of people's freedoms being slowly eroded and stripped away You can do nothing but watch.

000

sofa @comfiestsofa.anomaly.moe · 25/05/2026

and yeah ACs are a rather expensive upfront cost especially in europe i wish they weren't, but i hope they come down in price slowly after economies of scale (more people buying them) (warning: im rlly dumb and dont really know how the economy works so i could be talking out of my ass here lol)

010

sofa @comfiestsofa.anomaly.moe · 25/05/2026

fwiw i believe that europe should adopt AC more and be more culturally open to it i understand (as a canadian) it's very hard to do so (very old houses, modifications difficult) but i think its worth it (also it's also funny to me how some europeans assume north americans dont have brick houses)

100

sofa @comfiestsofa.anomaly.moe · 25/05/2026

having spent a few summers in korea (parents visiting family), every time you walk outside of an air conditioned space outdoors it is like being cooked alive japan isnt much better, my experiences being on summer vacay there in the past is why i refuse go to asia ever again during the summer rofl

100

sofa @comfiestsofa.anomaly.moe · 25/05/2026

all the americans thinking that the european heat is nbd based on the temperature number itself need to go to east asia during the summer and tell me how they cope without any AC available to them at all trust me you will be wishing for death (this is why AC adoption is so high in east asia)
