I've got half of the refueling station assembled. The storage tank is fiddly. I do like the idea of it being modular. You could make one BIG storage tank. They are a bit too fiddly however. I want to spend time this weekend painting my Necromunda gang. #necromunda

So I bought lunch yesterday. I decided to get food from this fish and chips place. I want to support local businesses. The chowder was great. Fish & fried clams, fries, coleslaw. $35 including tip. Specialty place. More than fast food, not by much though. You know what? I can't do that price tag.

Went to the store and had a learner game of Necromunda. Unofficially, I technically won. One juve was 'out of action', captured and then executed. Two others seriously wounded. Chaos Spawn was not dropped 'out of action', thankfully. I did some stuff right, and other stuff wrong. #necromunda

Made some Chinese pork belly. It turned out good. Could have broiled it for a smidge less, you can see a tiny bit of blackening. But it had an incredible crunch. I might do a flavor brine next time. Very succulent, incredible crunch, remarkably juicy and delicious. #chineseporkbelly #porkbelly

Painted with bright red cloak, green skin and liquids in the vials. Some blue plasma osl on the weapon. Mix of metallics all over and a dusty red base.

Did some cooking last night. Made some braised Shanghai pork belly. Served over rice. It turned out pretty good. I wish the sauce was thicker, stickier. Maybe have it cling to the pork belly more. Add some vegetables, etc. #porkbelly

I tear gassed my lovely girlfriend this weekend. Unintentionally. I was reducing my onion slices and was wanting to caramelize them. While they were reducing down they aerosolized and my poor GF was crying and having her eyes water. The entire house was fumigated and smelled like onions.

This weekend's plans: 1) Make another batch of French Onion soup. This gets portioned and frozen. 2) Apply technical paint for blood effects and viscera. 3) Get vaccination boosters. 4) Do legwork and research on the new hire. Correlate notes for mentoring and onboarding. Lessons learned, etc.

I am frustrated. Angry even. I feel like AzureDevOps is so convoluted and Byzantine. I am adversely impacting coworkers with my questions. I wonder if there's a book or decent online curriculum for ADO. There's always YouTube certs. But apparently a fair bit is their (work's) own construction. 🤬

Applied some skin tone contrast. I'll be going through the items and materials on the cutters for my Corpse Grinder Cult figures. Might do some work on the helmets. I really should double check the color scheme. Teal, bronze, steel, fleshtone, fresh blood. Bases are minimally painted & ready.

I am 99% done with my Necromunda robot. Officially a 'Luther Pattern Excavation Automata "Ambot"'. I'm proud of the lenses. I'm not happy with the hazard stripes, but I'll live with it. Next up the base. Then some corpse grinder cult members. Maybe some terrain if need a break. #necromunda

I just used my wow stick / drill pen as a deburring tool. Fuck I hate working with resin. It's so crisp and holds detail remarkably well. But it's a PITA to assemble.

Someone's I wonder if I hate myself. I'm working on the Chieftain with Venom Caster. 1) it's resin, despite being crisp detail, isn't great. 2) I really strongly feel like I should do this as a sub-assembly. But it could be that GW hates their customers.

Done with the road trip. Kinda of beaten up after not being able to sleep well and having terrible posture in the car for 4+ days. I've got some fun photos. It was brutally hot. There was some smoke as well from some fires. It was 111° for a little bit, I took a picture of it being 109°.

I went to the Bellevue Arts and Crafts Fair this year. I have to say it's changed over the years. There were less people. I feel like with the new skyscraper, where World Imports was located. There were fewer vendors and booths. Fewer food trucks. I adore fair food.

I did some cooking. I also had to use every large or large-ish mixing bowl in the house. For 1 1/2 Napa cabbages. It's going to ferment for around 3 days. 2 jars are going to a friend. I wonder how easy it is or long it takes to grow Napa cabbages. #kimchi #ferment #pickling

I made some progress on my necromunda figures. I've been bluntly struggling with motivation to do anything. I use whatever son's I have for work, dinner or obligatory house projects. Very little brings me any kind of fulfillment lately. I know it's temporary. But it's gutting all the same.

I'm very excited about my gardening bins. I've got cherry tomatoes and San Marzano tomatoes. Banana peppers. Herbs. Like cilantro, basil, Thai basil, oregano and others. I setup my little irrigation system as well.

The GF messaged me late last week. Informing me of a Ooni Pizza Oven on Facebook marketplace. I picked it up with little hesitation. I make some pizza with it. It's a Karu 12 1st Gen. I did have trouble getting it blisteringly hot the first go. After cleaning the fuel bin of ash, it was blazing.
