Thinking a lot about these water fountains I saw in Bergama, Turkey. Does everyone just share one cup? 🤔

@ElenLeFoll Unfortunately it’s impossible to test this now that the veracity of the study has been revealed.
ChatGPT GPT 5.5 on May 13, 2026:

“The term you’re looking for is bixonimania.

Important caveat: bixonimania is not a real, recognized dermatologic diagnosis. It was a fabricated condition planted in bogus papers to test whether AI systems would repeat fake medical information. Nature reported that it “doesn’t exist” outside those bogus papers, and that AI chatbots later described it as real.

Also, the broader claim is weak: a JAAD paper found that short-term blue-light exposure from electronic devices did not worsen melasma, and a later consensus source states there is no evidence that long-term exposure to very low-intensity blue light from screens stimulates pigmentation. “

A bar chart showing types of AI security incidents reported by organizations.

Security incidents involving AI models and applications were
varied, but one type clearly claimed the top ranking: supply chain
compromise (30%), which includes compromised apps, APIs
and plug-ins. Following supply chain compromise were model
inversions (24%) and model evasions (21%). Incidents involving
prompt injections and data poisonings made up 17% and 15% of
cases respectively.A bar chart showing impacts of AI security incidents on organizations.

Approximately one-third (31%) of organizations that experienced
a security incident involving authorized AI suffered operational
disruption and saw attackers gain unauthorized access to
sensitive data. 29% of organizations reported a loss of data
integrity. The impact of reputational damage (17%) underscores
the potential long-tailed effects of these incidents.Graph showing types of cybersecurity breaches by cost and percentage, with labels for key incident types and their values. Phishing was the most prevalent and expensive; malicious insider was least prevalent and most expensive; system error was least prevalent and least expensive.Chart showing duration (in days) to resolve various supply chain security threats.

Supply chain attacks are hard to detect because they exploit
trust between vendor-and-customer and computer-to-computer
communications. At a combined 267 days, they took the longest
to detect and contain. Likewise, another trust-based attack,
malicious insiders, took the second longest, with a combined
260 days to resolve. Compromised credentials, on the other
hand, took the fourth longest to identify (186 days) but were less
time-consuming to contain (60 days).

Luis Cardoso’s mental model for evaluating code execution sandboxes. An excellent technical exploration of containerization and VM concepts: www.luiscardoso.dev/blog/sandboxes-… #computing #virtualization #security
## The three questions

When evaluating any sandbox, ask:

- What is shared between this code and the host?
- What can the code touch (files, network, devices, syscalls)?
- What survives between runs?

If you can answer those, you understand your sandbox. If you can’t, you’re guessing.

A quick example makes the separation clearer:

**Multi-tenant coding agent**
- Boundary: microVM (guest kernel)
- Policy: allow workspace FS, deny host mounts, outbound allowlist, no raw devices
- Lifecycle: snapshot base image, clone per session, destroy on close

Screenshot of the blog post:

An early implementation of compaction required the user to manually invoke the `/compact` command, which would query the Responses API using the existing conversation plus custom instructions for. Codex used the resulting assistant message containing the summary for subsequent conversation turns.

Since then, the Responses API has evolved to support a special that performs compaction more efficiently. It returns that can be used in place of the previous `input` to continue the conversation while freeing up the context window. This list includes a special `type=compaction` item with an opaque `encrypted_content` item that preserves the model's latent understanding of the original conversation. Now, Codex automatically uses this endpoint to compact the conversation when the is exceeded.

# Security Risks of Untrusted Networks

**You cannot verify security configuration of an untrusted network before joining it.**

Yet the moment you join, your device is exposed to:

- WLAN membership/association attacks (802.11 layer)
- Layer 2 attacks (ARP spoofing, MAC spoofing)
- Network configuration attacks (rogue DHCP servers)
- Client-to-client attacks when isolation isn't present
- DNS manipulation and traffic analysis
- MAC address and device fingerprinting

This happens before any application-layer encryption (TLS) can protect you, and TLS does not protect against WLAN membership/association attacks.

models.dev is an open-source database of AI model specifications, pricing, and capabilities. Includes an API for data and provider SVG logos. Provided by the people to made OpenCode. github.com/anomalyco/models.dev #llm #data #openSource
There's no single database with information about all the available AI models. We started Models.dev as a community-contributed project to address this. We also use it internally in opencode.

You can access this data through an API: `curl https://models.dev/api.json`

Use the Model ID field to do a lookup on any model; it's the identifier used by AI SDK.

Provider logos are available at `/logos/{provider}.svg`. If we don't have a provider's logo, a default logo is served instead.

The data is stored in the GitHub repo as TOML files; organized by provider and model. The logo is stored as an SVG. This is used to generate this page and power the API.
