BREAKING: Governor Polis has vetoed the Worker Protection Act for the second time in two years. Polis continues his generationally rancid end to his term in office by once again choosing the billionaire class over the working people of Colorado.

Candidates were asked: Will you support the Worker Protection Act, eliminating CO's 2nd election needed for workers to gain union security? Their answers: 🧇 #ColoradoPolitics

Colorado working families are being squeezed by rising costs. It’s proven that unions help workers earn better wages. So why does Colorado’s union law protect billionaire interests instead of enabling Colorado families to live the life they want? #CoPolitics #coleg

The Worker Protection Act PASSED the Senate today! Now it's headed to the governor's desk! Last year, Gov. Polis sided with billionaires and vetoed it. But now he has a second chance to sign it and finally stand with workers. In times like these, there's no other acceptable option. #Copolitics

Being part of a union is the best way a worker can build a better life for themselves and their families. Help make it easier to unionize in Colorado by letting Gov. Polis know you support the Worker Protection Act and he should sign the bill when it's on his desk. act.aflcio.org/letters/tell...

"Right-To-Work" is Wrong In states with these anti-union laws, union membership is half what it is in free bargaining states. In anti-union states wages for all workers are lower, poverty is higher, workers are less safe, and more people are uninsured. Colorado's laws reduce pay by $2,300/year.
"Right-to-Work" is Wrong!

Wages - $11,058 less per year in RTW States
Poverty Rate - 11.2% higher compared with 8.9% in States without RTW laws
Risk of Workplace Death - 56.5% higher in States with RTW laws
Uninsured - 11.9% of people under 65 in RTW States are uninsured, compared to 8.1% in free bargaining States

There should be ONE election needed to unionize. Not two. Let's level the playing field so workers can freely speak up about wages, safety, and stability without fear, and put Colorado in line with the rest of the country. Pass the Worker Protection Act! #CoPolitics #CoLeg

If Coloradans could unionize fairly and freely, there’d be $6 billion in the pockets of workers instead of the pockets of large corporations. #CoPolitics #coleg

Who will stand with us? @dropkickmurphys.com came to Denver and joined workers fighting for their right to unionize. Let's stand together for better pay, better benefits and the right to unionize! Your fight is our fight! Pass the #WorkerProtectionAct! #COPolitics

Ronnie testified in support of the Worker Protection Act because he knows the power of a union. That's what collective bargaining gets you. That's what unions do. He wants every Coloradan to have what he has. Sign that bill @colorado.gov! #CoPolitics

@colorado.gov sold you out so tech billionaires could come to Colorado. @michaelbennet.bsky.social and @philweiser.bsky.social want his seat next year but they've yet to prove that they'll be on the side of workers. Ask them where they stand when it comes to supporting unions! #coleg #copolitics

Stronger communities start with strong unions! For workers and small businesses to succeed and build stable futures, we need to make it easier to unionize in Colorado. Pass the #WorkerProtectionAct so we have an economy that works for people, not corporate billionaires. #CoPolitics #coleg

Affordability is about wages just as much as it is about costs. When workers can unionize, wages go up and families can afford their rent, prescriptions and groceries. Pass the Worker Protection Act and make it easier to unionize in Colorado. #copolitics

Colorado lawmakers have 120 days to craft and pass new legislation. That's 120 opportunities to make it easier to unionize. 120 chances to hold billionaires accountable for making Colorado unaffordable for working people. 120 chances to represent people, not mega-corporations #copolitics

Unions are the best way for workers to build a better life. But we have to jump through hoops just to negotiate for better working conditions. Meanwhile, mega corporations and billionaires get to change our lives without notice. Make it make sense. #UnionStrong #COPolitics #WorkerProtectionAct

Last year, @colorado.gov folded to the billionaire and said no to a bill that would allow workers to unionize fairly This year, workers are back to make CO a place where families can afford rent, groceries, healthcare, and retire with dignity. That’s what unions do. That’s the Worker Protection Act

Colorado should be where families can afford rent, food, and healthcare. And where workers can hope to retire in dignity. We're reintroducing legislation so workers can form strong unions and make it possible. Join us for the launch! 🕐Jan 8th at 12PM 🗺️Colorado State Capitol
