My old next door neighbors and good friends went through some shit the other night. People do be wild these days. Hopefully dude doesn’t bond out and 5-0 took all his guns. JFC They have a food truck and catering business. The shots were fired when they were all having drinks at the Chatterbox.

We are safe but tonight a neighbor got upset about our garbage stinking and fired six shots at us. With a gun. Violence like this is so crushing. I tried to defuse the situation. Terrifying, running for cover, gun violence, so fleeting and tragic.
Tonight I am so grateful!!! No one was injured.
Mental health, trauma, guns, all of it! This is a next door neighbor with children who was hauled off to jail for who knows how long but he will still be our neighbor, a dad, someone with a gun and mental heath problems. Feeling so sad and grateful to be alive.

What’s wrong, babe? You’ve barely touched your KJØTTSALAT.

From a cookbook called Norwegian recipes.

MEAT SALAD (KJØTTSALAT)
1 C. julienne strips cooked beef, veal or lamb
1 C. julienne strips baked or boiled ham
1 T. onion, minced
6 T. salad oil
2 T. cider vinegar
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. parsley, minced
1/4 C. heavy cream or dairy sour cream
1 hard-boiled egg, sliced
1 pickled beet, sliced
Mix cut meats with onion. Beat together oil, vinegar, pepper and parsley.
Stir cream into dressing. Mix with meats, combining lightly. Garnish with sliced egg and beef. Makes 2 or 3 main dish salads.

If you want a slick-looking, comfortable bike with back-friendly upright geometry and the ability to add cargo options on as needed, you can do a lot worse than a Benno Remi Demi. If you don’t go full Class 3 that should be close to your budget. I love mine.

I have a Benno Remi Demi. If you use Touring or Eco Mode you could do 36 miles on one charge. They make a higher capacity battery that performs even better. Right around $3k give or take. I highly recommend Angry Catfish on 42nd, just east of 28th Ave.

Little 8 miler today. It being the first warm day in Minneapolis, the bike paths were like bars on NYE, so I opted for a more street-based neighborhood approach after hitting Lake Nokomis. Let’s hope this isn’t the cruelest of False Springs!
