Cultic Chapter 2: Simply a work of art, i do think i might like chapter 1 slightly, but the effort and mastery that went into these maps is undeniable

Ballionaire and Crush the Industry (Dropped): these 2 kinda represent a genre of roguelike i'm really not a fun of, ones where you have 700 mini factors to take into account every run, and even if you build to something there's multiple layers of bloat and info i don't find fun to comb through

Arctic Eggs and Captain Wayne (Dropped): Both games i really enjoy the visuals in, especially Captain Wayne, gorgeous as fuck game. But i Arctic Eggs i found the gameplay tedious, while Wayne i moreso just hit a really unfun segment and decided to play something else

Star Of Providence: Really enjoyable game and a bit of a break from an issue i'm seeing in a lot of roguelikes recently i'll get into in another post However, i did only finish it once, didn't have much drive to repeat playthroughs, unlock other characters or challenges, but that may be more from me

Frankenstein (2025): Beautiful movie, kinda dragged at the start which i understand, setup is needed. But once the creature is made it gets elevated exponentially. Also the creature is beautiful in a very haunting way, idk how the fuck they managed that

I made a lil Trails server, hopefully it'll be a good place to meet new people to talk about the series with and if it don't work out the experiment is pretty fun in itself Link right here: discord.gg/fvnr5rnv #trails #kiseki

Silksong (Dropped): Really fucking good bosses, but the exploration and enemies are either incredibly boring or annoying and i didn't love the bosses enough to struggle through

Void Bastads and No-Skin: Void bastards sadly felt like it was lacking something but the style does a lot. No-Skin is one of the most unique feeling roguelikes in a while, i love the level structure and progress. Rng heavy though which can really screw you and side content is a mixed bag

Bladechimera: Incredibly solid metroidvania, another in the line of ladybug's which have a very personal style i enjoy, adding gun combat was interesting and worked pretty well alongside melee. Secret Bosses are a bit bullshitty but levels and items help get through which i think is fine

Trails Through Daybreak 2: Quite the Hype and Aura moments game. It's a really strange on cause it's got a ton more gameplay than 1, for good and bad. And the story has a lot of good moments and just cool setpieces, but it's not all pieced together the best, still amazing though of course

Ender Magnolia: Enjoyed lilies quite a lot but struggle to remember much and i think Magnolia sticks much better to my memory since i can think of the main villain a lot more and the main characters interact more often with the world. Did havesome pretty annoying areas but i guess that's the usual

Creature Commandos: Gorgeous fucking animation and great character stories, but i do find the backstories do a lot of heavy lifting and i don't know how a season in the moment would carry out. also after watching Peacemaker S2 seeing rick flag get his shit torn apart was very satisfying

Peacemaker S2: Was wondering how they'd continue and the alternate world is a great fucking concept especially with the fucked up reveal. Here it does feel like they shifted to Focus on Harcourt and Economos which i think nicely balances everyone out, and still has a lot of great Ade and Vij stuff

Peacemaker S1: Great introduction to all the characters, and obviously from james gunn i have new music for my playlist now. i feel like Adebayo and Vigilante were the stars here along with Chris, just a great trio i loved to see together

Wolf New Order, Very eugh gameplay that contradicts itself but good writing and human characters that i cared for Lies of P, Dissapointed as character building is good but the gameplay starts feeling off and never recovers with most bosses sucking and especially mini bosses suck a lot

Citizen Sleeper, perfectly written game with a great dice based gameplay Blasphemous 2, Just as good as the first with a very nice ending Postal Brain Damaged, Great and mostly funny, the dlc dissapointed me though Half-Life, A classic but very fucking clunky and a bit of a trickster

Rungore, Dropped but alright Black Future, Dropped, hurtful to my eyes Clone Drone, Neat little story mode but i did not care for the other content Shipbreaker, Sadly dropped, really liked the story and the gameplay was genius but it suddenly all felt like an actual job and it lost it's grip on me

Spiritfarer: An incredibly emotional game i knew would fuck me up with the exploration of death, gameplay was a lot more entertaining than i expected but by the end i was really feeling like the game stretched a bit too much and i decided to end it earlier, the ending is still beautiful though

Elden Ring: Feel like a contrarian here, i loved the starting hours and i genuinely think it has the perfect ideas for an open world, but halfway through it became a massive fucking slog of boring horseriding and some of the my least liked bosses in the series

Pirates Curse, big improvement on the previous shantae Vomitoreum, Great visuals as usual with scumhead and some of the better gameplay in their games Turnip Boy Bank, Neat lil roguelike Nier Automata, Dropped, writing's good, gameplay's not

Roboquest, Good but i find the gameplay contradicting and hard to click Daybreak, Amazing, takes a while to get going and side content is bare but characters are key] Gestalt, very pretty metroidvania, kinda wish story was more subdued Nightreign, Great gameplay loop, needs more meta progression

My Stupid ass deleted a ton of entries so lemme rapidfire Anode Heart, Dropped Dead Island, Dropped Bloodshed, Great, did everything i wanted and i hope to see more Nubby's Number Factory, Okay, gameplay doesn't engage me enought to 100%

Lies of P: Sadly a pretty big dissapointment, character building and just characters themselves were pretty good, but the gameplay starts off feeling off and never really recovers, plus i the best bosses are just okay while the rest are just annoying as hell, especially mini-bosses for some reason

Wolfenstein The New Order: The gameplay kinda sucks, tries to be a mix of run and gun with cover mechanics and both end up pretty weak. It was actually the story aspect that intrigued me more, taking this alternate history depressing and damaged people, as well as a surprisingly sad ending

Three Houses: I played Golden Deer and up to ch18 i was ready to call this game top 3 in the fire emblem franchise, but the story, which was the best aspect up to then, took a massive downfall of dissapointments, inconclusions and just pulling shit out they ass. Still good but a letdown

Blasphemous 2: Around the same quality as the first game though a bit less interesting to explore, but the boss fights are really good. what i really wanna talk about is the ending because i am pleasantly surprised a grim game like this has such a decisive happy ending and i appreciate it a lot

Citizen Sleeper: Absolutely fucking amazing game, i love the setting, characters, very simple but still tense as hell gameplay, the managing, the stories the choices, just mwah mwah mwah only big dissapointment is a certain timer around the midpoint i wish had given me a fitting bad ending

Ship Graveyard sim: like many sims i enjoyed it a bit but eventually it becomes routine and loses the spark, though with this one what i found strange was that there's 10 or so ships, and by the 4th i needed the highest grade tools and it was massive to explore, so that seems a bit out of wack

Crab Champions: Fine lil roguelike, but something about it does feel very off, i think it's the simple font, simple menus, kinda generic music, it gives me big asset store vibes, but the actual gameplay loop is pretty good

Hardspace Shipbreaker(Dropped?): I FUCKING LOVE the atmosphere and characters in the game, i feel so immersed in the job and world i'm in, plus it's super nice in the first few runs to perfectly dismantle a ship sadly overtime with complexity it becomes routine, mundane and a bad bug finished me off

Clone Drone in the Danger Zone: Neat game and main story, plays around a good bit with what it can do and the precise cutting and smashing can be satisfying, but not enough to do all the side content (though it might be main since i understand the game was first just an arena fighter)

Rungore: Going through my roguelike backlog and just by nature of these games i try to define if i'll keep playing em by the main loop because playing until end can take a whiiiiiile, and Rungore's ain't bad but just not my vibe since few card focused combat systems are my thing

Luck be a Landlord and Black Future 88: Didn't get too far into either, i can see appeal in both, Landlord is very much that rng manipulation heavy game that'd fascinate percentage fans, and BF88 has put a ton into it's look, but i found Landlord lacking and BF88 was just tough to even see through

64 Grabbag: Valkie and Merchant i sadly dropped cause they were very uninteresting and valkie especially felt really jank. Macbat 64 was really primitive but a simple puzzle platformer, and Kiwi 64 while also being small was super enjoyable, with good control and quick jolt levels
