are people not excited for the new 2d metroid game? if so, is it because of metroid prime 4?

000

Penelope Pussycat @collixenlol.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

i've never even played this game tbh why is nintendo so invested in warriors spinoffs? i'm sure they're good, but i hear literally no one talk about those games

000

Penelope Pussycat @collixenlol.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

i agree, that direct was very mid

000

Penelope Pussycat @collixenlol.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

yeah free update announcements suck in general, but somehow mario kart world's free update announcement sucked even more because they only added like two new things and they're not even big changes, so what is even the goddamn point

120

Penelope Pussycat @collixenlol.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

oh that's right, i forgot level-5 was involved with gen ai that sucks, because i am excited for a new professor layton game (that i thought was announced years ago) and the fact that they're bringing back yo-kai watch is awesome but that just makes level-5's actions hurt even more 😔

010

Penelope Pussycat @collixenlol.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

but i'd say most of the direct was just focused on ports and free updates (which i thought nintendo would've learned to stop announcing in their directs after the switch 1 generation)

000

Penelope Pussycat @collixenlol.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

star fox adventures coming to nintendo classics was also a fantastic announcement! but yeah, it was pretty weak overall i mean, we probably should've expected some ports because the switch 2 is nintendo's first console that can actually run ps5-level games

110

Penelope Pussycat @collixenlol.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

that was a pretty alright nintendo direct most of the announcements were pretty weak (to me at least), but we got some really cool announcements! there wasn't a smash 6 or new 3d mario in the direct, but i think we'll have to wait until next year before those get announced 7.5/10
