One of two photos existing of this fellow circa-2014. My fiancée named him Garfield. We believed him to be the progenitor of half the cats in a one mile radius of our home. He was always there until, sadly, he wasn't. We'd estimated that Garfield was last seen in mid-2015. I miss this cat.

In school, long ago, the back of our copybooks had a weights & measures table and I used to wonder what a 'hogshead' was.

I still have a number in my contacts for the Dunwoody, Georgia, Borders circa-2005. A guy named Doug helped me with some difficult to find DVD titles.

My mother read to me at bedtime. Some years after Mom's passing I found the very first book she'd read to me beginning quite early I'd imagine; might've been when I was age two and a half or so.

I took one of those on the plane flying Air Tran from Hartsfield-Jackson in August of 2005 in the AM. Maybe I bought it at Terminal C there. The photo doesn't do it justice. I snapped this with a Palm Treo 650. I was flying to Philly that day to visit loved ones. I remember it was tasty.

Had the Angel for Men; the metal (stainless steel?) outer case could handle a refill insert. One that I have now, which has become increasingly rare, is Molto Smalto. This one was well-received and is still pleasant. Present day, Azzaro Chrome Summer 2012 is getting more difficult to track down.

Hear, hear. In 1970 I bought this book and read it through and through a few times. I suppose that Marilyn Monroe's passing made quite an impression on me as I had watched the wall-to-wall TV news coverage that day with my mother and maternal grandmother. Best wishes!

They know me but it's pickled red bell peppers. Yes, red bell peppers. This brand is very close to those which my dear, late father-in-law used to make.

The man's tour bus passed me as we were headed east on I-80 about 20 miles east of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. I do not remember the year; sorry for that. Found this photo online and it fits the memory I have of its magnificence as it went by. I was mere feet from greatness going 65 mph or so.

Diesel has posted yet another record price. The implications for our so-called economy are myriad. $6.31/gal. this morning, September 16, 2026.

Christmas Day 1967, my younger brother and I each received one of these. I recorded a Bugs Bunny cartoon and the complete soundtrack to John Wayne's Rio Bravo (1959). This is a photo of the Mayfair 1602 reel-to-reel. The sound was pretty good to my unsophisticated ears.

September 25, 2007, approx. 2 PM EDST. Unseasonably warm, 93° F. Not a breath of air stirred. I found this large brook trout trying to move upstream to a deeper pool (not shown) from the long pool we see here. I caught the fish with my hands and moved it to its favored hole under the stream bank.

Date movie. One lobby card on its easel was positioned to be seen first right after the ticket booth. The tickets snap-up through the hinged metal gate. It was Roger Moore and Christopher Lee standing back-to-back. I remember it as a black and white photo.

Nothing better on a rainy day than an Abbott & Costello feature. My Dad installed a Tenna Rotor strapped to our chimney with stainless steel bands back in '65. From our metro-Philly home we could pull-in New York City's Channels 5, 7 & 11. Something good was aways on. Tenna Rotor, typical.

By chance I was watching David Letterman in early-April 2011 with Don Rickles as his guest. Don promoted his appearances at The Borgata and I bought tickets for my fiancée and me. Don Rickles' energy a during his show put people half his age to shame. All by chance because I saw it on TV.

Petroleum futures are surprisingly tame this morning and gas prices, while sitting at $4.52 at least aren't spasming upward 13 cents a day; until the next silly statement to make the news.

Consumers don't buy petroleum by the barrel. Gas at the pump is only just off its historical peak in the US.
