Same here. Electrify America has the same brittle card readers that you find on vending machines. Replacing them with more robust readers would be ideal. I'm not against RFID, I just think it shouldn't be tied to the charging network apps. Just a simple tap to pay. No accounts or logins.

Yeah, it's a great start! I just believe It needs to be standardized across the country. Though, I never encountered an Electrify America charger that features tap to pay that actually works. The card readers are almost always out of service.

Finding functional chargers can already be a pain. Why do we add the additional burden of "Aww man, I need to install a new app, make an account, a username, a password, add my credit card info and cross my fingers..." to the whole experience?

Hey, it's great that we can now charge a 120kwh EV battery from 5% to 100% in mere minutes. I firmly believe that doesn't make nearly as much of an impact on the experience of charging an EV in public as ending app based charging would. Just make it like a gas pump. Lose the damn apps.

Just get rid of the app based charging nonsense nationwide, and allow folks to use credit/debit like a damn gas pump. It's the apps. They suck, they're inconvenient. No one has to use a password and a username to get gas. App based charging sucks. (I've been driving an EV for 14 years.)

A creator couple I follow went so far as to just abandon sites like YouTube and build their own site to stream, chat and share on. But they're very open about being quick to block folks who are rude, and they set clear boundaries. It's the best example I've seen lately.

Well put. I think we'd all prefer not to interact with fans until they at least achieve Warp technology, but here we are. I've seen folks carve paths to maintaining good relations with fans. Being frank and open about boundaries, and keeping your hand close to the block button goes a long way.
