It's ski season. Probably the bougiest thing I do, but damn it's fun.

If you want to witness a unique contour of the American class system, go to a ski area with night skiing on a weeknight and observe the pubescent boys who hold season passes, the untroubled children of doctors and lawyers, noisily jostle and rudely castigate one another in the lift line.

It’s been like that since I was a kid except the adolescent monsters of my youth--spitting off lifts and swearing at strangers--are now successful businessmen and bosses.

The tough thing about this moment is you already knew how it would be covered and 99% of the headlines will be conspicuously free of the term "War Criminal." Kissinger was of America. And the US doesn't go to war, the US is a war.

A bunch of headlines talking about the death of Henry Kissinger and calling him things like "polarizing diplomat." No mention of the fact that he was instrumental in the deaths of millions.
