It doesn't have to happen at the exact same time or even the same day or week. Its trillions of dollars. Even 10% over 3 months crushes the market. All it takes is one charismatic leader to start a capital strike. It happened with GME in WSB not long ago.

I am not describing a pig move. Hanging around in equities with a Shiller ratio of 41 because you don't want to miss out is the definition of pig. Everyone is passive investing index funds should take the high and bank it. Then scale back in after the pull back.

This is my point. Demographically, those funds are all going to automatically trigger a large sector rotation. Sitting in it like a sheep, tithing funds to passive investments is just stupid.

Not because it isn't the right thing and not because it is wouldn't be effective. A capital strike would be incredibly effective, easy and safe but there is no solidarity. Simply because people do not trust each other, and advisors would hide and duck calls and do things like refuse instructions.

"The Wealthy" are only "The Wealthy" because of equity values. They borrow on assets. When those asset values decline because people stop tithing, the wealthy have to pay their lines of credit because their equity doesn't cover its exposure.

SPCX being fast tracked onto the index was last straw. The tithing to index funds supported by tax deferrals needs to stop. It has distorted the market and gone too far. Market is at an all time high. Working people should go to cash collectively, and buy back in after the margin call destruction.

Workers bailing out is exactly collective action that would cause change. Circuit breakers and things like Citadel pressuring congress to take away trading on Robinhood is not policy. Its corruption. A capital strike would sort some stuff out fast.

I disagree. There is $15T (with a T) in passive investment in the market. Even a 10% move to cash would cause a run that would drive prices down to a much better entry. The wealthy do not actually have capital. They have assets swelled by $15T in money tithed into the market.
