I cooked a big mother's day meal for the first time in several years. Baked penne bechamel, breaded orange roughy with bechamel, scalloped potatoes, and the first loaf of Dutch oven bread *I* ever made. Bechamel is one of the "mother" sauces 😉

One year ago today, and today. It took an inordinate amount of work but we're actually starting to enjoy the new house after having now lived here for 3 months.
