Swiss based most of the time now, only popping to the UK for family visits. That said, I might be able to squeeze something into the schedule, next time I'm planning a trip. Life's been rather trying and hectic since mid 2025, but when the calm comes, I'll remember to get in touch. ☺️

Due to the Spanish Post halting US shipments, all vinyl/CD/merch orders are on hold. Pre-reserve items (no payment needed) by sending your wish-list to hello@lapsus.cat. This goes for wipE’out’’ Vol.2 and the wider Lapsus catalog. They’ll fulfil once US shipping resumes. 😎 📦 💿 🇺🇸

Fellow Psygnosis folks and fans! Just a heads-up in case it flew under your radar... there’s a great new book all about Psygnosis. Volume 1 - up to the PlayStation era - is out now over at editions64k.fr. It's really well put together. 😀

Damn... tough one! WipEout was a first in so many ways: gaming becomes legit for clubbers, licensed music becomes big in games, cool graphics by music industry artists. Maybe it should be WipEout? 😉

I'm planning to be there... fingers firmly🤞🏻 (or thumbs if you speak German!)

It would be a shame not too, right? 😉

If you're aware of the demo scene, then you should know that this just dropped, with some music and sound effects by yours truly. It was an honour and a joy! youtu.be/64qu3YaKeb4

Having an AMAZING time at Mountainbytes, in Cham, Switzerland!🇨🇭 A three day demo-scene event, where I have the pleasure of organising the music competition with assistance of some super talented people. 🙏 Great to be back with some old friends, and making new ones too! 💖

Originally registered on 21st January 1972 as ROBERT SMITH & SONS (ENGINEERS BIRKENHEAD) LIMITED, Psygnosis Limited legally came into being on the 3rd July. So, as it's the 40th Anniversary this July, I feel I should celebrate in some way? I've got my thinking cap on...

If it's inspired by the PSOne, maybe QTOne - the next letters in the alphabet, and for casual reference, shorten to cutie? 😄

It still blows my mind that games I composed music for featured on postage stamps in the UK. I found them again whilst remodelling my music studio... 🤪

The mad thing about the tune I'm playing here is that I change the lead sound I'm playing several times, by clicking on channel selectors in Propellerhead Reason using the trackpad on the laptop. Lots of chances for it to go horribly wrong. 😆

As I lay here recovering from a delightful bout of some kind of evil norovirus, I was noodling around the interwebs on my phone, and I rediscovered this merry little Christmas WipEout track. Maybe it’ll add some cheer if you’re under the weather? on.soundcloud.com/t2GkK3LdEhtf...

No disrespect… I just don’t get the logic really. 😉 Sure, the streaming services take quite the slice, but that’s how the World spins, not just in music but in every other sphere of life.

Live performance isn’t everyone’s bag, and to make any money doing that, you have to run yourself and your equipment into the ground touring for the rest of your days. Take a break, and there’s no income.

CoLD SToRAGE ( Tim Wright ) @coldstorage.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

Physical sales are all well and good, but after you consider postage, damaged goods and tiny margins after everyone takes a slice… not to mention the fact that hardly anyone buys CDs or vinyl anymore, in real terms these aren’t great to keep musicians paying rent.

CoLD SToRAGE ( Tim Wright ) @coldstorage.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

As a musician who depends on streaming revenue… I don’t get why people are so down on it? It’s the 2024 equivalent of radio airplay and is the lifeblood of many artists who would never have gotten any royalties back before it became a thing.

“New speakers Tim?” Yup. “Keeping the Alesis Monitor One Mk IIs though, right?” Of course - they’re vintage and bedded in. “Interesting new choices!” Indeed. 😜

If you ever played WipEout 2097 and spotted this billboard, you might’ve wondered what it was all about… Well, that was my CoLD SToRAGE logo! Back in the day, I even had it embroidered on some bomber jackets and beanie hats - my first venture into clothing & merch. 😄

October 2022, Bergen, Norway… At around 47 minutes in, I’m noodling around on two synthesisers, playing my old Amiga Music as an on-stage guest for the amazingly talented Fastloaders. I also got to do some front of house mixing for the band at one point too - that was fun! youtu.be/JEKvg_bf9cE
