As the Ocean Decade shifts from generating knowledge to delivering solutions, eight Blueprints will identify priorities, partnerships, and practical pathways for action toward 2030 and beyond. COLC will serve on one of them: the Ocean Skills and Inspiration Blueprint.

Canada has committed to protecting 30% of its ocean by 2030. We're currently at 16%. Le Canada s'est engagé à protéger 30 % de ses eaux océaniques d'ici 2030. Nous en sommes actuellement à 16 %.

La plupart des gens au Canada se soucient de l'océan, mais beaucoup moins se sentent suffisamment connectés pour agir. C'est exactement cet écart que la Semaine de l'océan Canada vise à combler.  La Semaine est peut-être terminée, mais le travail de renforcement de ce lien ne doit pas s'arrêter là.
