I cooked up a shitpost. 'S a joke that was rattling around in my brain for who knows how long.

I took a stab at it! Went for a more Frutiger Aero approach. Wow, this IS fun! Please, tell me what y'all think!

Man, what is my luck? In prior games, I've not once spotted a Shiny, yet in ZA, I caught THREE of the little bastards. Within only a few days of getting the game. Didn't even hunt. XD #raystargaming #pokemon #legendsza #pokemonlegendsza #shinypokemon

I derived my previous Quote from this thing I made of Ash and @brettervoices.bsky.social 's character Asriel. #raystART #fanart #pokemon #ashketchum #satoshi #oc #friendsoc

World Monarch Ash Ketchum, taking a walk alongside Asriel, a character made by Brett.

In this scenario, Ash has taken Asriel on as a protege.

My redesign for Eggman. This one is more overtly a cyborg, since I feel like he'd enhance his own body as an act of vanity. #raystART #sonic #WIPstar #WIP #fanart #sonicthehedgehog #eggman #sketch

Dr. Eggman. I gave him the EXE-looking eyes to hint at him making himself into a cyborg. Also added a labcoat with lapels and trim that resemble his mustache. And his insignia are his labcoat pockets. Also a cravat to give him an air of class.

A while back, I made a Mario character named Prince Seltzer. Figured I’d share the OG version before attempting a remake. #raystART #supermariobros #supermario #oc #fancharacter #mariooc

Prince Seltzer of the Fountain Kingdom. The whole gimmick of that kingdom is soda, as the name implies.

A potential alternative form of Parasect. This ties into a regional concept where Pokémon take a form that reverses its concept. I don’t have a name for it yet. Same concept for a Gengar form named Jestar. #raystART #pokemon #fakemon #fakemonregion #regionalgimmick #WIPstar #gengar #parasect

A form of Parasect, where the bug has managed to overpower and eat through the parasitic mushroom. Now it controls the mycelia, turning the hollowed out fungus into a sort of organic mech.

A form of Gengar, named Jestar. It goes from being a malicious Ghost/Poison Type to a Ghost/Fairy Type that loves to play jokes and make people laugh. Unfortunately, it gets VERY carried away and can end up being just as dangerous as its normal form, if not moreso.

Another Mario Princess. Though not so much an OC as it is me taking a stab at designing the unseen Princess Eclair. Proud of how she turned out. Though I genuinely had more fun with Origami King, TTYD was alright.

I went with a breakfast-y vibe for her, rather than just sweets. Complete with a waffle sunhat and hair that resembles maple syrup cascading downwards. Kept the "eclair" bits by having the upper trim be the chocolate frosting, and the frills be whipped cream-inspired.

Background is a screen cap from the TTYD remake.

I hate this pesky tendency for BlueSky to just eliminate any transparent backgrounds... here's an updated version with a background to combat this issue.

I made a fanmade Mario Princess once. Here she is. Enjoy. :) Her name is Princess Anise. I'm happy with how she turned out! #raystART #oc #supermariobros #marioprincess #styleemulation

Her name is Princess Anise (named after Star Anise), and she's princess of the Silicon Kingdom - a land known for its technological advancements.

I attempted to emulate the Super Mario style with this one, and it is not typical of my normal style. So it took longer to cook up.

On a whim, I turned myself into a Dragon Ball character.

Majin Cola. Still fiddling with his backstory, but the current draft is that he’s a failed attempt at making Buu. Nowhere near evil enough and being weaker than Bibidi wanted.

Subject to change, of course, but it’s a placeholder, at least.

A little shitpost I threw together in iMovie, recreating a scene from Snapcube’s Realtime Fandub. Speaking of, the “STOP” is from that realtime fandub.

I took a stab at redesigning Super Saiyan God in my art style. I know the official design is VERY old news, but I needed an excuse to practice drawing more muscular builds. Because I struggle with those a lot sometimes. And I'm kinda on a DB kick again. Enjoy this act of pure compulsion. XD

I decided to throw in some Sun Wukong vibes. He IS supposed to be based on the Monkey King, after all.

As well as a tail made of pure energy. Since his real tail got permanently snipped, this was the next best thing.

Coga Raystar @cogaraystar.bsky.social · 06/06/2024

I already made one Big Bad, so might as well do the other.

King Boo.

The above form is his normal state, where he's more a mischievous little gremlin who wants to scare people for the sake of scaring people. Because ghost.

The below form is when he's under the influence of the gem lodged in his crown, which makes him far more malicious and cunning.

022

Coga Raystar @cogaraystar.bsky.social · 05/06/2024

Been on a streak today. And now I'm ending it with the Big Bad Boss himself.

Coga Raystar @cogaraystar.bsky.social · 04/06/2024

Some more redesigns. The redesign for the main Toad made drawing Bucken Berry and Ala Gold a lot easier.

Yes, his cap is meant to resemble perpetual bedhead. XD

Went for a teardrop shape here, because Buck is fast. Like, really fast. And I made the trim around his uniform vest lighter blue.

Funny how he's also a Blue Toad.

Wanted to make Boos look less like balloons with faces on 'em, and more like souls. Yannow, since they're ghosts and all.

Coga Raystar @cogaraystar.bsky.social · 04/06/2024

I made some redesigns for the Mario heroes, for a thing I'm planning. All that's left now is Bowser... I am dreading this. I CANNOT draw Bowser to save my life.

Peach never registered as "Princess of a Kingdom of Sapient Mushrooms", so I added more mushroom-y elements. Also some red roots, to reference her original color scheme.

For Toad's hair, I took on a Toadette-inspired route by having it be part of his cap. Also the weird diaper things had to go. They pants are a little something like Movie Toad's pants now.

The Mario Bros gots hoodies. Thought it was a neat idea.

Proud of how Daisy came out, with the Desert Princess look and athletic build. ^_^

Draghund The Realized Pokemon Type: Dragon/Fairy Ability: Savvy Mind - All Fairy Type moves used against this Pokémon are nullified. Bassetlisk The Hibernating Pokemon Type: Fairy Ability: Hibernate - Moves that cause the user to fall asleep instead sharply boost Defense and Special Defense Dex Info: Right before evolving, Whelwawa will gorge itself in preparation. The spot on its forehead channels in wisdom and power.

Whelwawa The Chihuahua Pokemon Type: Fairy Ability: Reckless Dex Info: Believing itself to be a dragon, Whelwawa demands to be taken seriously. To that end, it acts aggressively and tries to pick fights. Inevitably, this fails, and it is quick to turn tail and run when it realizes it's outmatched.

I also do Fakémon on occasion. Meet my pseudo-legendary line - Whelwawa, Bassetisk, and Draghund. ... Ironically enough, only the final stage, Draghund, is part Dragon, being Fairy/Dragon. The previous two stages are pure Fairy Type. Wannabe dragons. XD
