Artwork #40: Autumn Haze The leaves are now well and truly falling off the trees now in bright yellow, orange and red colours. I wanted to make this picture more hazy and psychedelic though and mix in some pink, blue and purple colours to give the theme of Autumn more edge.

Artwork #39 : Hold On Tight To Your Love This picture has a bit of a darker-dreamy origin in that I had a few dreams many years ago of me and a loved one falling through the sky : I wanted to capture the feeling of that fragile nature of love but make it look more optimistic with the background

Artwork #38: Lava Lamp I've always been a massive fan of lava lamps, even during the 1980s & 90s when they weren't nearly as fashionable. I bought myself a really lovely blue one with green wax in 2001 after I moved into my first home so that greatly influenced the vibe for this picture. ☺️💚✌🏻

Artwork #37: Wind Farming For this picture, I wanted to combine elements of the autumn season and fallen leaves and the positive benefits of the wind but also the way we use that wind to power wind farms. Wind turbines can pose dangers to birds and bats because of fatal collisions with the blades

Artwork #34: Together Alone I created this artwork literally on a whim tonight in a couple of hours after feeling a little bit lonely. I'm very happy to have drawn the mirror 🪞 in such a quirky manner and also the lighting from the bedroom light shade. It makes it more warm and homely for me. ☺️💜

Artwork #32 : "He's Charging" For this picture, it all started out pretty vague like I wanted something connected to the sea but with much more visible danger and jeopardy present. My favourite part of this picture was creating the breaking waves in a way that's multi-layered for colours. ☺️💜🌊🏄🏾‍♀️

Artwork #31: Private Eyes Are Watching You We're all looking at each other to a large extent : in terms of our family, friends and strangers, sometimes up close and sometimes from afar. Perhaps that's why we become edgy around each other because we don't see what is invisible on the inside.

Artwork #30: The Queen of Heartbreaks: I must admit that my love life has been pretty non-existent for a while now: I have many social and psychological barriers to face. However, Purple Hearts are often a symbol of bravery and I definitely wanted to capture those in this picture. ☺️💜🙏🏻

Artwork #28 : Fountain of Ecstasy This picture was inspired by the Ross Fountain situated in Princes Street Gardens here in Edinburgh. But I wanted to create a fountain oasis in the middle of nowhere with barren terrain all around it: something big enough that people can climb into the fountain.

Artwork #27 : Skinny Imps This picture was heavily inspired by the Trans and Non-Binary Punk gig held at The Hug & Pint in Glasgow. One of the bands there performing on stage were Skinny Imps who are a band based in Edinburgh 😄🎶 So it seemed a natural choice to draw them and capture the vibes.

I carried out my first ever life drawing tonight with Creative Arts Therapies in Leith. The model was fully clothed so I wasn't feeling as nervous. But once I was in my groove I felt that I did a pretty good job of this. This is out of my artistic comfort zone so I'm pretty happy ☺️💜🎨

Artwork #19: Pride of the Fleet This is the first picture that I've made at home: away from the Whale Arts Open Studio. I was able to focus on this and incorporate my love of canals into the picture as well. The RGB colours on top of the bridge represent my autistic pride and identity. ☺️💜🎨

Artwork #16 : Tears of Shame I've been exploring themes of guilt and shame within my poetry , so I guess this has extended to my artwork as well. Guilt comes from within you about bad things that you have done whilst Shame comes from outside pressure: often around expectations that aren't met.

Last night was another King Tut’s gig night in Glasgow with Ryan Brown headlining, supported by Mar Charav, Fraser Mclean and Amy Louise. Mar was the only person I hadn't seen previously at a gig but I was very impressed by everyone, their bands and supporters. It was a great night for sure ☺️💜🎶
