His shorts are fantastic, but I love the videos he does on his process of making them to be almost more fascinating in a lot of ways. youtu.be/xbwR3Xfi6tY?...

Not only is his work some of the best paleomedia out there, I would seriously put his Dinosauria shorts above some of the best paleodocs out there, including some of the most expensive specials and some movies, but I also think his stuff is great for paleoartists to learn from.

I think everyone should watch very closely if the administrators of Drexel University suddenly get raises or bonuses if they still go forward with the closing the Academy of Natural Sciences.

I would then make one of the Allosaurs have some really bright coloration to indicate sexual dimorphism. I would maybe have also made them a persistent threat. That's just me fan-casting though.

Hopefully there are other dinosaur films with better designs in the future. If I were to remake the films dinosaurs I would have had less feathers, more Stegosaurus, I probably would yeet Spinosaurus outta there, trim down the small raptor dinosaurs presence, and make the one Allosaurus into two.

110

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I would not mind the fuzzy dinosaurs in End of Oak Street as much if they didn't all have the same sort of coloration and feather structure. It also looks a bit too haphazardly applied and the skin underneath usually looks infected. Not to disparage your rendition, and I don't hate the film.

I cannot look for a better paying job because few exist that qualify. I am basically being held hostage by the federal government.

020

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I have no choice, I cannot pay the more than $5000 extra they want and count the service I have already done because the system wont allow me to. So I am stuck in this job until I am almost 48 (having dedicated a quarter of my life to it).

120

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

They are looking for payments from 2015 to 2017, and some from after my loans went into the forbearance that they told me to go into in 2025. Even though I was working in 2015 and had been making payments on the loans before they were consolidated.

110

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I apparently need to sign up for a more expensive payment program now, and pay for almost 3 more years, bringing me up to around 15 years of public service, I will be close to 50 by the end of this.

110

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I called up FSA today and was informed that the reason why my payment count was stuck at 34 payments needing to be paid is because when I signed up for the PSLF my loans were consolidated and the system saw it as a new loan, none of which I was informed of at the time.

120

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I was told to file and appeal and that was just denied.

110

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Anyway, I was informed by FSA that they were missing payments from 2015 to 2017, going against what I was told about my payments counting backwards as long as I was making them when I was under certified employment.

110

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Navient used to be SallieMae before they were forced to semi break up their business because of more bad and illegal business processes, just FYI.

110

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Except if you follow the phone trees, Navient is still providing management and infrastructure for payments on Federal Loans through Mohela and Aidvantage (a company that they basically just invented for the purpose of making people think they weren't still involved).

120

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

As part of the settlement they had their ability to manage Federal Loans taken away from them and PSLF loans were given to Mohela (you know the agency that republicans used to kill student loan forgiveness under Biden).

120

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

The reason for that transfer was basically because Navient was sued 25 out of 50 Attorney General offices in the US for defrauding their customers for like the second time in the 20 years that I have had loans with them.

120

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

A month ago I called to ask them what was happening and was told they were missing payments, I wasn't sure why this was the case and they didn't tell me why, assuming that the issue was because my loans had been passed form Navient to Mohela.

110

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Time passed and I waited for forgiveness and my payment count to update because the system was bogged down for everyone from the end of Biden's term on.

110

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

In 2025 I hit the 10 year mark and thought that I had made my last payment and called up Federal Student Aid and a person there advised me to file for forgiveness with forbearance and not to make any more payments.

120

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I never stopped making payments and worked all though COVID, even making payments when those loans were forced into forbearance.

110

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

In 2017 I signed up for the PSLF, I was told that my payment count and service count would be counted before this period, dating back to when my employer certified my starting date which was February of 2015.

110

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

In 2015 I started working a day job as a Direct Support Professional where I provide in home care for people with special needs. This work allows for me to usually have the time I need to do art jobs while earning money and getting insurance.

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Just a little rant about he #PSLF Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. I have had loans since I started college in 2001, most of which are private loans and some of which have repayment plans so bad that I still owe pretty much what I owed when I took them out more than 20 years ago.

130

Sean Closson🦖🦕 @coffeeblack.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I had a long screed on this on another platform, but yeah, this article feels like old school art snobbery. Especially considering that most of the "old master pieces" that are considered to be fine art are narrative pieces commissioned by wealthy patrons.

I get that, I had a limited palette to work with based on my supplies and I was playing a bit with it, the red worked so I worked with it. But it does lean towards looking like they just finished a very bloody meal.

As far as the Covid vaccine stuff, I would suggest getting together some n95 masks, and hand sanitizer if you don't already have some. That could at least help with some peace of mind.

It really sucks right now, especially considering they were giving it away like candy only a few months ago. Same thing with Covid Tests, the USPS had a program where they would just send you them for free.

It's always fun when they do that, I can only imagine how much it would also cost for them to use that as well, but when it comes to pain it might be worth it. Hopefully any other procedures you have to have are quick and painless.

Lake Monster Art! I went to the @harvardmuseums.bsky.social and got to sit and sketch the biggest of boys, Kronosaurus. It's fitting I work on this while camping next to a lake known for having a mysterious giant creature lurking below its surface. #paleoart #sketchbook #vacation #camping #art
