* The main title, why not sports club in the first heading Run Your [Sports] Club * I feel the plan naming needs work, at least the free - "Beta Free" makes my head think too much. Can be just free or basic. * Did you put any screenshots or vid? Show, don't tell.

Would they like to collaborate by giving you free coaching on how to spend your money on their ads? (But better worded)

Gemini is better for both noobs for the long context and advance for the speed

Remember how when the TV was on just playing and what you wanted to watch finished, but you can't find or be bothered to reach the remote, so you watched whatever that you didn't like than 20-30min in you start screaming at the TV like your part of the show?...

The hardest part of solving a problem is correctly identifying the source?

Somehow coding with AI became vibe coding. Bonus points if you don't know coding I guess or at least won't review it, just vibe.

What's your workflow? I think people don't understand why they should try different models and how/when/why you should use your own API keys

CodyCWiseman @codywiseman.bsky.social · 10/03/2025
Use aider as agent + free cursor with API keys and codium for auto complete Open router for multi provider multi model with a single account at cost Gemini for large input + speed With other models as fallback

Did they fail to produce something usable? To call it, good enough? To figure out the marketing part? Or something else like finances?

I was thinking slightly changes for the better so you look in the mirror and are forced to improve

It's ok in terms of understandable. Who is your initial target audience? It's a bit corporate I feel. I think the byline and video could be made better by getting to the point earlier, I personally would replace the byline with an image. Commits on the left, arrow, results.

CodyCWiseman @codywiseman.bsky.social · 08/03/2025
Why do you commit manually?

As with anything in VSCode depending on your extensions. Plus whatever copilot is nowadays.

It's easy. It's free. it's the biggest or one of the biggest CDNs in the world, good global performance for most cases. It has some extra free features. Con: a lot of paid features, specifically the access data. Honestly don't know the others much.

Best contractor outcome: I didn't understand what he said but I feel better now. We should bring him again. Not sure why, but this works in big corp. They don't say out loud they didn't understand, it's only the other person who didn't understand and we bring him back to help the slow ppl.

The easier it is to build a product, the harder it is to stand out. The difficulty has shifted from building to marketing. Play the game accordingly.

Very close to most reality shows? There are NGOs/private companies that focus hiring disadvantaged groups.. 🤔

#2-3 are true for most freemium services. While you can have like infinite static hosting, they do have basic hosting stats behind paywall and other services. They are not the only one to offer infinite free static hosting, github, gitlab are some others while not that huge featured CDN..

The role description of a developer will evolve again. Your responsible for the results more than the path taken when looking from outside. It's just the professional pride of something that's getting outdated. Generally speaking. Like when we stopped optimizing for performance constraints.

It's way better IMHO. I'd still consider percentages to be more representatives here. I think it's easier to perceive and celebrate (psychological dopamine) I'm 20% of the way, and you can show +20% if you want to show change vs before, than fractions, and it's just a different notation

If you know it's a count down, going down should be seen as positive, green. Maybe you should do a percentage to target and then you can easily show it going up towards the 100% goal, not down in weight

Refactor to contain in smaller scope and/or use a bigger input model They do produce silly mistakes like that all the time, it's sad really

If I overthink it I won't need a refactor. My quick AI spam writes it badly and I ask it to refactor after.

On the other side of applying candidates are lacking centralised tools still today - companies that only post on their own site. 3rd party review sites. Stats and processes from the hiring side. Transparency. Basic filters when searching jobs, why can't I blacklist words. Real remote or not..

The majority of most interviews. That would save a lot of time for applicants and can shortcut hiring for companies, skipping most of the first step and being able to speedrun it with playback speed, auto shortening and AI digestion
110
CodyCWiseman @codywiseman.bsky.social · 06/03/2025
There is at least one company that let you do a recorded intro that you apply with. But you can use AI to make a more predictable natural interview that is custom and asks a person about its own resume and things he did and dig down on top of more generic questions and probably satisfy the majority
110
CodyCWiseman @codywiseman.bsky.social · 06/03/2025
Not recently but it's a big time and energy spend applying and way more in the interview process. It might be a big gap between what would be better to what people want, so it's a hard sell but I think if you could get people sold on a generic interview as a start it could be transformative

Depending what you work on, you can replace it with testing.

CodyCWiseman @codywiseman.bsky.social · 05/03/2025
Most AI is not good at facts and actual data, it writes a lot of stuff that's not true. For a platform that fights for every sentence to be correct, a bunch of work is still needed in LLM models I believe

I'd think a small screenshot earlier would do better. (Rather see than read what this is). I don't like the embed being so big with an inner scroll.

I think character shows in the more extreme situations, when things don't go right. When you're in trouble do you do the right thing or the easy thing. Personality includes a whole lot more of you and might be expressed even in the most minor of esthetic choices.

As soon as you have a domain and a couple of marketing lines as a description you should list on directories, they are mostly low value links. Where are your potential customers handout? Where do they try to find tools like yours?

Writing a to-do list is easy, deciding to drop things out of it is hard. Most of the tips by different systems are around focusing of just the top 1-3 items and being ok with it. The last part is the hardest.
