Field ponds!. Still quite rough, but a neat thing is that the ground mesh is never actually altered. Instead an sdf to mask from the pond system pushes or pulls the ground shader, and we get a sunken pond without the fuss. 🤽‍♂️ #madewithunity #indiegames #gamedevs #indiedevs #treehouse

Really happy with the new grass. It performs better than the previous more quad based kind somehow. Well. I know HOW... because it uses gpu instancing instead of cpu welding 10s of thousands of verts into multiple clusters... But still, magical! 🌄 #gamedev #indiedev #indiegamedevs #madewithunity

Sorry for the late response. It's a realtime ish 2.5d math wave simulation running over a single dynamically subdivided quad. So it's dynamic to new or less intersection geometry and wind direction+intensity
