People sometimes think insomnia means you're not tired. Sadly that is not the case. Fight club really increased awareness for insomnia though it has to be said.

I'd never seen the movie Rocky (1976). What no one tells you is that that one famous montage scene is by far the most weird and jarring bits of the movie. It is bizarre that that is what was remembered.

Rewatching Smallville. It's basically a masterclass in bad dialogue. But somehow that's kind of what it has going for it? Like an almost comical lack of subtlety.

Super pumped to have interviewed Loic Pujet for a new episode! We talked about extensionality in type theory, which comes up a lot in practice (and in theory). open.spotify.com/episode/5B8u... as usual, the RSS: anchor.fm/s/db787130/p...

Someone on Reddit was explaining how one can date ancient historical works like the Odyssey by checking references in the text to objects or places for which we have an earliest possible date, like when Ulysses gets into his Lamborghini Aventador, which was not produced until approx 2011

Mark Ham wowed the world with this picture. But then someone wowed me even more by pointing out that the moon always has the same phase when it's in a rainbow! (1/2)
A closeup of a rainbow with the Moon in it. The Moon is not full, it is gibbous. This photo was taken by Mark Ham. In this photo you can work out exactly where the sun is—behind him over his left shoulder—from both the position of the rainbow and from the phase of the moon.
