As a Floridian I think it depends on the side of the state. On the East coast the FL extends into GA about 10 min which makes it feel like an endless Jacksonville. In the west the GA starts the second you leave the Tallahassee city limits and maybe even earlier.

By the end I wasn’t really rooting for Ted and so when they made Robin, who I did like, end up with Ted as a back-up of sorts after her first marriage didn’t work out it just seemed unnecessary. If they ended it after the wife died and let Ted end up alone without the very end it’d be fine.

To me it also seems silly to want reading to be cool/think it’s uncool. People have been reading for literal millennia, it’s just like a thing people have always enjoyed. It’s like trying to make hiking or eating cool, wanting it to be cool feels way out of the calculation for why people do it.
