Japanese Golden Curry is awesome. Stir fry some veggies and add the curry, which comes in blocks. In a few minutes it thickens and flavors the veggies. Funny thing, the directions say to cut the vegetables into "desirable sizes."

I wondered if I had some stewing beef, but I didn't find any. I did find a large bag labeled "Grass Fed Bones for Broth." Once they've thawed some I'll today then and start the process of making a very large batch of beef broth.

I've been working on getting stuff out of the freezer that's been there for a long time. I found a bag of about ten steak bones that I decided to roast and make beef broth. I got two cups of a nice broth. I think I'll make a batch of Spanish rice with it.

Lunch. How to cook the perfect hard-boiled egg: 1. Don't boil it; use a steamer. 2. Put the eggs in when it's fully boiling and hot. 3. Steam for 13 minutes. 4. Put in ice water for a few minutes until cooled. 5. Tap to crack the shell all over and return to water. 6. Now they are easy to peel.

This is "bathroom remodel" summer for me. After the first few days of demo, it's down to the studs. The house was built in 1907. The bathroom is probably a little newer than that.

Creamy Summer Squash Pasta I've been using a technique of cooking pasta the same way as risotto. Instead of a pot of boiling water, I add just enough liquid to the pasta in a saute pan. This allows the starch in the pasta that would normally go down the drain to thicken the sauce.
