Someone used my portfolio site as inspiration for theirs. I can tell because they copy/pasted the "about me" verbatim, including the name of my site 😆
Someone's About Me section on their portfolio site, with the following text copied verbatim from mine: "I'm a design technologist in Atlanta. I like working on the front-end of the web. This is my site, Coder's Block, where I blog and share whatever side projects I've been working on".

Mom came by to drop off this ludicrous amount of kimchi. Not pictured: the radish kimchi, white kimchi, and kimchi soup she also dropped off.

Please check your kids' Halloween candy! I found `will-change` being prematurely and excessively applied to elements and pseudo-elements in a way that actually harms performance and could have stacking context side effects in this candy bar.
Candy bar being split open with a snippet of CSS implied to have come out of it:

*, *::before, *::after {
  will-change: transform, opacity;
}

Just noticed this in Chrome on Windows. Catastrophic. Literally unusable. I just... I have a child. He's so young and innocent. I don't know how I'm going to explain this to him.

Lawful and/or Neutral Good, but I appreciate Chaotic Neutral for pre-minimizing. Also, unsure where "indenting with semicolons instead of spaces" fits on the chart. 🤔

I uh… think I ordered the wrong size (new on right).
Two containers of goldfish food. One I already had on the left, small. New one I ordered on right, massively bigger.

It’s 2025 and we bought a printer. Seemed like such an archaic thing to buy, but it’s already been super useful. Bought it for my wife’s writing, but I’ve also used it to print sheet music and some crafty stuff for our kid.

I have a 3 ½ inch floppy disk pinned to a cork board above my desk. I’ve had it since my first programming job after graduation. Found it in the desk I was assigned. Used it as a coaster for years. I have no idea what’s on it. But it has sentimental value to me. I’ve had it my entire career.

I'm curious how many people didn't realize this 👇 #CSS nesting is natively supported in all major browsers. The following works as-is, no SCSS preprocessing needed.
article {
  padding: 20px;

  h1 {
    font-size: 2.5rem;

    &::before, &::after {
      content: '-';
    }
  }
}

Heads up, #Git gives you a quick way to switch back to your previous branch. Just use a dash (-) in place of the branch name. This makes it easy to hop back and forth between two branches.
git checkout -

A little browser history for you. Browsers used to put tabs UNDER the address bar. Eventually the mental model for this shifted, with the idea that the address was a property of the current tab and should be within it. So browsers moved the address bar BELOW the tabs.

Who else played with Technic Legos? I loved them so hard. They definitely shaped my interest in engineering at an early age. I remember getting this set in particular one Christmas, had so much fun with it.

Who remembers web-safe colors? In the early web days, there were only 216 colors blessed as "web-safe" -- you could expect them to look correct on all displays. It was extremely limiting for design! If you've ever noticed the "Only Web Colors" checkbox in Photoshop, it's a holdover from this.
Screenshot of the color picker in Photoshop. A checkbox labelled "Only Web Colors" is checked. The visible colors to select from are limited.

In high school, I would cheat on math tests by writing programs in my TI-85 calculator to solve problems for me. Ironically, in the process of writing the programs I would learn the material well enough that I didn't even need to cheat anymore.

Heads up, #CSS has an `infinity` constant. You can use it to create an unbeatable z-index.
