Without saying your age, what is your favorite movie that came out when you were 20 years old? Matt Johnson's The Dirties is one of my favorite movie productions ever from one of my favorite filmmakers ever. Love how this was made, love how it turned out.

Every now and then I remember back in the early days of Letterboxd, like 10 years ago, I hand-picked frames from my own DVDs of some Ringu sequels and sent the Letterboxd team to use as banners for the films' pages. And some of those are still used for that to this day. Feels good.

I spent most of my Gamescom day at the indie booths. Crazy good shit all around. Literally the only game I cared to look at in the big brand halls today was the new podracing game. That game is gonna rule so hard. Stood in line 1hr to play 10mins and I wanna go back so bad now. lol

My favorite pigeon visited for the first time in a while. Despite my landlord's threats, I gave it some food because he's my homie. Guy didn't even eat it all, just wants to hang out. His poop is firm, which means he's eating well out there. My homie is doing okay and I'm so glad, I'm about to cry.

There is this line about radical hopefulness in the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once that used to resonate so much with me for a good couple years when I managed to actively reject the rotten pessimistic hateful sludge that the media drowns us in. And I'm yearning for that energy these days.

In my Captain America journey, I'm currently reading the problematic/badly aged 50s run that was retconned into an "impostor gone crazy" decades later. Man, those 50s comics were not kind to Asian people. Let me tell you that much. This panel seems very timely now though.
