Totally. As a kid all mine went in one cardboard box. As an adult, once I got over a few thousand pieces, I realised that organising is the only way - especially given I build my own stuff more. Sets get built when new, then parted out.

All bricks stored by colour; all plates same, but bagged by size also. Other part types have their own containers and may be sorted into bags per colour if there's lots. (Yes, I really do have enough Lego that this matters 😆)

When I bonked my head and had a concussion for a couple of weeks I was pretty much confined to bed by a usually not very assertive partner. I was apparently being extremely difficult and had to be ordered around. I don't recall much 😂 Hopefully your partner doesn't end up being loopy for too long!

Yep. It definitely feels like it's all accelerating. Still true that the weather here is never one thing for long enough to get properly used to, though. A few week-long heatwaves with cooler bits between means we never acclimatise. Plus Yorkshire is very "what's today's weather going to be?" "yes."

British houses are generally terrible when it gets hot. The loft traps the heat and it means the upstairs gets unbearable. Having (I think) four fans going constantly in various bits is helping move some of it out but it's still not great. I would kill for a decent thunderstorm!

I missed your threads about him, at the time, but I share your anger and frustration. If he was dumped then I hope whoever did it gets their just reward. He's such a pretty boy with those beautiful blue eyes, too! Hopefully he will soon find a home that deserves and cherishes him.
