I found a mantis at work. I've never heard of a black mantis before. TIL black mantises exist? Manti? English plurals are always a gamble until I look them up on webster's.

I think my skill with Magic depends on the aspect of magic involved. My overall score, 6.5/10. My deck building is probably a firm 6. My in-play skill, I put at 7+, because I definitely make mistakes when playing out of my wedge, but my in-wedge play is extremely solid.

I am a less-prominent pro-Angel-typal player, but I am wholly underwhelmed. It isn't functionally different from playing my rule 0 Maelstrom Archangel deck (a considerably different design from my legal 5c Angels list), except now all my non-Angel spells are mono-white. ...still gonna make a list.

...I was 15, and it was a group of 15-17 year olds at my elder sister's birthday, we were playing 'Duck, Duck, Goose' (look, it's a bit more extreme when it's people who are mostly grown, 'k?), and it turns out the grass we were playing on was just a little too slick. Slipped and broke my wrist.

Honestly infuriated right now with one of the servicers for my credit cards. Denied a claim I had on charges I didn't make on the grounds that I accessed my account multiple times and could have disputed sooner, when the vast majority of the time I ever access those accounts is to just pay my bill.

Last year, I broke my streak of not being sent to Whamhalla too soon because the person running my work's start of shift warmup threw that on the second week of December. They had also been on the job only for a week at the time, and have since become my nemesis (and not in a fun way either).

Thanks to my recent trip across the country with the family, I was mildly reinspired to get back into making food for myself. Behold, my lunch for the next two days (recipe in alt text):

Two casserole dishes sit on a black stove top side by side.

Inside the left dish is a mango chicken salad conpised of: 1 peeled and cubed mango, ~4 pieces of slow-cooked chicken breast, 1/2c cilantro, 3/4c yogurt, 2T a jam of my choice (strawberry rhubarb, in this case), 2T Lime juice, 1T dijon mustard, and 1/4tsp of cayenne pepper.

The right-side dish is still mostly full with the rest of the pulled, slow-cooked, chicken not used.

A mango chicken salad sandwich on a broiche bun. Not my ideal (ciabatta is best), but delicious (and I may have put some more hot sauce on it to make it a little less sweet.)

I started with one among 1, 2, and 3, but I'm not 100% sure which. The first system I played at home was the Genesis, but my cousins had an Atari 2600 (which I later learned that my mother had one stashed away as well, now in my possession) and a NES hookup in their basement.
