Can confirm. This isn't the area around my mother's village, but it's not far off it.

The purple one is Twilight Sparkle and is very burned-out overachieving oldest sister coded. I identify with her a LOT.

One of the best books in my collection is a bibliography of works on sea sponges by Vosmaer. Published in 1928, nearly 4000 entries, still in print, still the definitive work. I do a happy giggle every time I see it because that was a person who loved That One Thing.

We also have a butterfly net, which we mostly use for butterflies and this one time for a very lost blackbird. (She was fine, we used the net as a lid for the basket we'd scooped her into.)

I'm an NPC in one of the Assassin's Creed games, where we are regularly reminded that the assassins don't kill civilians. As long as I don't catch the plague, I'm golden.

If you've ever doubted the merits of online reading challenges, the one I'm currently doing required me to read an entire book outside. In the course of doing so, I've been reminded just how lovely it is to spend an afternoon in a beer garden with a pint and some chips and a great book.

Listening to some rather good Mendelssohn and idly pondering the notion of six chapters of Space Marines, each fighting for the glory of one of the Mane Six. Colour schema to match, of course.

The thing about the Odyssey, though, is it's not actually an epic battles story. It's the classical equivalent of 'Dude, where's my car?' and I would like to see an adaptation that lands into THAT energy.

Where "canonically" = "in a non-zero number of sources for classical history/mythology", because I am not a Classics scholar and some of their conversations about which versions are canon scare me.

We have a couple of boxes someone helpfully labelled "unimportant documents", but the person in question is known to have deemed anything not of interest to them personally "unimportant", so...

There were perfectly functional libraries and archives for centuries before electricity, and every single person who worked in one of them is rolling over in their grave at the Minas Tirith "archivist". THIS IS NOT SAFE CANDLE USE IN THE STACKS.

The period is a little broad, but this bibliography of works on sea sponges is everything to me.
The front cover of the book 'Bibliography of sponges: 1551-1913'. It was compiled by G. C. J. Vosmaer and was edited by G. P. Bidder and C. S. Vosmaer-Röell.

My preference is for uniform dress (note - not A UNIFORM), ideally all black as it's less painful to look at under stage lights. I don't play these days, but when I was still in an orchestra we could all play wearing anything. The difficulty was deciding what to wear when the dress code was vague.
