local processing is now enabled by default on ios! saving files from the processing queue is way faster & more comfortable than doing it via shortcuts, and you also get proper downloading progress cobalt.tools

there are a lot more changes, such as rewritten docs and service-related improvements. we couldn't possibly make a thread that's readable enough & contained all changes, but you can read the entire changelog in cobalt: cobalt.tools/updates#11.0 (now with a better font!)

in this update, we also improved everything related to turnstile. from now on: - the annoying popup is gone, it was replaced with a small tooltip above the input bar - cobalt takes care of everything for you. no need to wait for turnstile to complete, just paste the link!

aside from local processing, we updated the web app a lot. everything looks better, feels better, and loads faster than ever before! we migrated parts of frontend to svelte 5, which improved rendering performance even more. it's beautiful!

after several downtimes, twitter disabled the anonymous endpoint that’s used for viewing posts when logged out cobalt was using this endpoint, so it can’t get posts from twitter for now. we’ll try to figure this out in the morning and let you guys know when it’s fixed

new update is out, we got some cool stuff: - youtube videos no longer get cut off, no need to enable hls or do anything extra at all. enjoy fast download speeds :) - added support for xiaohongshu/rednote, you can save everything from there now! - added support for bluesky gifs cobalt.tools
