The plan worked! Accidentally left my pen on a bench in the lab for 5 days, but my colleagues googled Parc Saint Paul and realised that there was only one person in the lab the pen could possibly belong to. Obscure theme park pens are the way forward 😌

Oakwood was the place I got over my fear of roller coasters. Before my 2009 visit, I wouldn't ride anything bigger than Treetops (which had been a favourite for years!) Many hours of peer pressure and *many* tears later, I walked away in love with Speed: No Limits. This one hurts.

We visited, purposefully, during Oktoberfest. We'd paid crazy money for on-site accommodation to fully enjoy the event, and it made it the best get-together we've had. Without entertainment, my friends wouldn't have enjoyed the park. Entertainment is a safety net, and the soul of the park.

I've been thinking a lot about a trip to Towers a few years ago with a group of uni friends. It was everyone's first time at the park, and they had a simple request: ride every major ride once across two days. It was an unfortunate weekend for reliability, making queues a nightmare.

Oh apparently it's *so* far below unremarkable!!! One course was so poorly designed they had to hand write instructions and stick em on the sign! Another was made out of wood so the ball is impossible to control!
