A1 This is a CONSTANT convo with my Ss who too often stop at the smallest challenge. I use a pebbles/boulder metaphor (“pebbles”=easy etc) & I share how I saw no hope until my dad went to rehab in 9th grade. A lot of perspective talk. Need to move boulders, have faith, prepare for unseen. #tlap

I ran into a former Ss (from 2019) at Walmart tonight. Never doubt the impact we have—it’s not content—it’s how we make Ss feel & the life lessons we instill. She remembered the positive vibe, the growth mindset/mentality,leaning into strengths, & my mantra of “Every day you wake up is a good day!”

A3 In my personal life I would say Minny & my neighbors—we have “town meetings” once a week that allow for laughs/destress. At Work I am thankful for our new Principal. I loved our old principal (retired after 50y) but the new one is amazing—listens, trusts, great ideas, team builder. #eduskychat
