In comparison, it's clear that the rest of the GOP has fallen far from its past support for free trade. A stunning 33 Republican Senators received A+, A, or B grades for their “Pre-Trump Trade Record”, but received overall F grades on the index due to their embrace of Trump’s protectionist agenda.

A few other key findings from our research: Both Senators Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell stood out as two of the only Republicans willing to forcefully stand against Trump's tariffs. While we disagree with them on many issues, they deserve tremendous credit for their courage here.

Today’s CPI report showed that coffee prices are now up 25.9% over the past year, while Cafe Du Monde coffee on Amazon now costs 33% more since January. This is a direct result of Trump’s extreme tariff agenda that puts taxes on goods we can’t even produce in America.
