I DIY’d the dividers using old comic boards, some tabs that came with a pack of binder dividers I bought nine years ago, a label maker, and a glue stick. I drew the Teen Titans and Young Justice symbols in Procreate.

It's open to the public, and it's a very somber place to visit—but brightened by a long-ongoing project to replace the old, crumbling gravestones with new ones that honor the names and lives of those interred there. I'm not sure if this has any place in your story, but I do recommend visiting!

Outside the hospital is a graveyard where patients were interred—buried not by name, but by number. Depending on who you ask, this was done either to protect the privacy of the deceased... or simply to spare their family the shame and stigma of having shared their blood.

Those are the two I can think of that fit your criteria. I want to mention one more that absolutely does not, but that's very dear to me: over in Lakewood, you can find Western State Hospital. Today, it's referred to as a psychiatric hospital. When it first opened, it was called an insane asylum.

Tacoma Cemetery is huge, well-maintained, and it's nearly as old as the Old Settlers Cemetery, having been founded in 1875. So, this would be perfect if you want to go for "Recently deceased rich person buried in the same cemetery their family has been buried in for generations".

Now, let's say you want something more recent. Tacoma isn't known for having a surplus of wealth, so I'm struggling to think of a cemetery that's *exclusively* for rich people. However, there are for sure rich and wealthy people in the area, and I imagine many of them are buried at Tacoma Cemetery.

So if the vibe you're looking for is "Old white settlers who helped found the modern city of Tacoma", I'd go with Old Settlers Cemetery. It is technically in Lakewood, so if you need something within Tacoma city limits this won't work... but if you're just going for a cemetery in the area, it would.

Ok so I'd say it depends how long ago these people died. Over in Lakewood, there's a cemetery called Old Settlers Cemetery, which was created for pioneers in 1855. If you walk around there you'll see some names that you'll recognize from schools and streets in the area (like several Wrights).
