Just got back from watching the 30th anniversary showing of End of Evangelion. Despite some problems on the theater and health ends, seeing it on the big screen after all these years was a powerful and moving experience. I still tear up at 'Kom Susser Todd.'

Oh goody. All the ports on the right side of my laptop - including USB and power - have stopped working. It been this once before a few years back, when the right-hand bus shorted out. That was a several hundred dollar repair that only a shop +hour drive away would do. Expensive too.

Spent the day building this LEGO Motorized Lighthouse and listening to a Lord of the Rings audio book. It looks great on my bookshelf, next to Himeji Castle and a Strawhat Pirates flag. It looks even better with the mechanism switched on and the light rotating, illuminating the darkness.
