One of our team took this photo of artwork at Bentham station... as well as being a unique and piece of artwork, it's great to see the caves of Ingleborough getting a call-out. We know some groups including students coming from Leeds and York still go caving by train. 😍

⚠️⚠️⚠️ A few recently reported hazards in two of our very popular potholes: In North by North End Pot, we have heard of a very recent collapse on the final pitch (Julian’s Leg Up) while a group was ascending, with an extremely large boulder now undermined and in danger of further collapse.

Scoska Cave flora 🌿 Scoska Cave has been rated as one of the richest in Europe for mosses and liverworts and other flora has been re-taped. Twice this tape has been removed. 😢 Please read our full article to understand why this tape in in place. cncc.org.uk/article/scos...

Simpson-Swinsto re-anchoring complete 😍 For two years our installers have been working to improve the anchors in Simpson Pot and Swinsto Hole in Kingsdale. Work is now complete, including the much-anticipated chains on pitches in Simpson Pot. More info on our website. cncc.org.uk/article/simp...

Foxholes Restoration. In March 2024 we heard about a serious collapse of the slope and wall above Foxholes at Gaping Gill. A CNCC conservation team took advantage of the spring sunshine to dig the entrance out and restore access. 💪🥰 Read more: cncc.org.uk/article/foxh...
