Never been able to find a word to convey the feeling that Kermit's crumple means, but it's definitely a universal one

Illustration of Kermit sitting on a wall making "the crumple" face.

I missed World Bipolar Day yesterday because the Bipolar Day Laughing/Crying/Screaming carolers didn't go down my streets. Here's an expression of the ecstatic growth and deep, cold, and dark ugliness that I (and people like me) can experience on our best days.

I'm looking at this this aesthetic archive, realizing how tame and mid the present is. I can't stop thinking about how hoarded wealth and immediate gratification in the name of "good customer service" has disabled creative risk and patiently built environments. We can't know a human made something.

With enough practice, I learned to create gradients, textures and perspective grids. This was a backgroud by Maurice Noble I recreated in Pain. (10)

And yeah, while it was very useful for making pixel art, brainstorming or creating game proof-of-concepts was also pretty simple (9)

Eventually, I worked up the momentum to start drafting backgrounds for my background portfolio, and it yielded good results (8)

including comics and storyboards (6)

Early on, I learned that the marker tool had a lot of nuance and blending capabilities (2)

Ok, so while I'm working on other things, here's my MSPaint work and techniques I learned between 2020-2022. I worked at a callcenter where I learned to use pain between calls to eliminate boredom and keep creating. Everything in this thread was made by me, with a mouse and Windows 7 Paint (1)
