Thanks for this; we have been trying to understand the command structure of the British coast artillery during the 1941 Battle of Hong Kong; they were organised into "East" and "West" Fire Commands: digital.lib.hkbu.edu.hk/1941hkbattle... (lots of coastal batteries in Hong Kong!)

Our latest Spatial History project on the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong (1941-1945) is now available. We aim to visualize various aspects of the occupation experience using a GIS-based interactive map. We hope this work can be useful for research, education, planning, and conservation.
