Thanks to everyone who came to Break Our Games last week! We were delighted to playtest two student games plus a few others in development at Central Michigan University Press. It was the noisiest BOG we've had in a while, between laughter, debates, and victory yells! We loved it!
Two students play a game in a sunny corner of a library room. The game components consist of a deck of cards, plus two bags of tokens. Five students sit around a rectangular gray table next to a sunny window. They are in the midst of talking passionately. Some playing cards, some marked T and some marked D, sit in the center of the table. Each student also has a piece of paper and a writing utensil in their hand or in front of them.Five students sit at a rectangular gray table. They are all bent over a set of orange-ish cards the size and shape of playing cards that have writing too small to read on each. Each student also has a piece of paper and a writing utensil.Four students are gathered between a set of tables and chairs in a classroom environment. One student sits in a chair at the back. Another student stands atop a two-tile by six-tile long game board with a set of playing cards in their hand. The two long sides of the board are lined with playing card symbols. The other two students stand behind the student on the board, watching the playtesting.
