Idk, as an infant my parents would put me in a laundry basket and strap it on top of an unbalanced top load washer running on “spin” for hours. More of a parenting tip I guess, but if you ever have to watch an infant it shuts ‘em up and saves you the effort of shaking the baby yourself!

the subconscious picked up on a social taboo being violated that the conscious mind hadn’t picked up on. Sometimes there’s no discernible reason. When shame or similar is useful it both stops being something to avoid and loses its power over me. I control why how and if I respond to the an emotion.
