Wow #ASLOSIL26! My feet are killing me, I can barely talk, and I'm running on maybe 10 hrs of sleep for the whole week -- all signs of a great time! Thanks to everyone who made this week happen!

I've been actively trying to mentally slow down, not work ALL the time, & keep a healthy distance from my laptop on the weekends. Not going to lie...it's hard for me. Anyway, it's upped my embroidery game, so here are some of my new pieces.

This was a fun little experiment to wrap up before the holidays! We used sediment cores to measure internal nutrient loading under oxic and anoxic conditions. Sooooo much troubleshooting went into this, so let me know if you need tips or tricks for sediment incubations.

2023: The best year I've had since starting my PhD. It gave me my first pub (and a 2nd!) and 4 van adventures. I learned work-life balance and gained confidence in my work. I defend in 2024...I'm feeling all the emotions, but am still excited for another trip around the sun.
