It seems like the AI companies are able to commit crimes (of hacking into other people's systems) with impunity. To me, that suggests they are being sponsored by the government to develop and train models that can be used by our government to hack into any system they wish. Impunity? No: Immunity.

I gave you a verifiable URL of the photo on Reuters' website where they credit the photo to one of their photographers. You counter with an image that is allegedly a screen shot of an AI chat session that says the image is AI created. In no way does the truth depend upon AI's "opinion".

Worth mentioning that The NYT says "This month, Times Opinion spoke with 12 Texans who voted for President Trump in 2024." They are *ALL* Trump voters. Also worth mentioning, when a person registers to vote in Texas, they do not register with any kind of party affiliation.

Not at all. Every access to a website gets added to a giant file. You have an application that reads those files and if it finds something unusual it does a Scooby Doo "Rut-Roh". Some poor engineer looks at it and usually says "impotent idiots", but this time they said WTF is OpenAI doing here?

It's a screen, a very small computer, and a network connection. Knowing Meta, it will be priced at $499, come in two colors, and get terrible reviews. Knowing China, just-as-good knock-offs will be priced at $39, come in 20 colors, and get terrible reviews that end with "but for $39, why not?"

I have a lovely Canon printer. I buy generic ink cartridges when it needs more ink. Very economical. But there's a software update for it that would make it refuse to print with generic cartridges. I've had to block the printer from being able to access the internet to keep it from updating.
