That's so weird because this bill, from Congress.gov, the most reliable resource for anything, disagrees!

If you look through a completely objective lens, Stevens got creamed. She stammered through a bunch of bills that have never even gotten a hearing; she didn't answer anything about AIPAC; she relies on bragging the only substitutive thing she's done: the auto bailout...17 years ago. #MiSen

Would you mind sharing what policy she's gotten passed? Could you please point me in the direction of one bill she's introduced in the last four years that has even made it out of the House? #MiSen

Haley Stevens, on five occasions, has mentioned "I have a bill for that." None of those bills have even gotten a first committee hearing. Don't know why she keeps bringing them up. #MiSen

Ask Haley Stevens why her only point she keeps making to prove her success is something that happened in 2009. Ask how many bills she passed that were either introduced or cosponsored by her in the last four years. Hint: it's ZERO. #MiSen

It's political malpractice that Abdul's campaign didn't prep him to repeatedly ask how many bills Haley Stevens has passed in her eight years in Congress. I like that he just asked her to explain the "I have the receipts" line that she keeps using, but that's the first time he's hit her. #MiSen

My inability to do math aside: now that McMorrow has dropped out, let's see how many times she drops this during the Tuesday debate in an attempt to tie herself to the Obama faction.

When Abdul announced his campaign, Republicans called him "Michigan's Mamdani" as a racist dog-whistle. Though I wish they saw him as someone other than just a Brown person, they are unknowingly comparing him to the most successful politician in the United States right now.

Look, you can choose to like Trump or not, but when he unveils his rock-hard six-pack in December as he physically beats up a series of skinny, tattooed dudes who keep trying to wish him "happy holidays," his approval rating will jump to 80%

1st Amendment rights and RFRA protections for white, American Christians who want to discriminate against others--but not for someone who was committing the heinous crime of letting his hair grow because of sincerely held religious beliefs. America really is two different countries.

A lot of negative comments in the replies here. I think Jeffries is generally ineffective, weak, and makes pretty poor political decisions, but "Obama Derangement Syndrome" is an incredibly good line that turns Trump's complaint on its head. Dems should hammer this line.

It cracks me up that Trump has been in office for six years and has done a handful of reconciliation bills but still doesn't understand what they they are. Good luck getting the parliamentarian to rule that election law changes are budgetary in nature, friend!
Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

No other President has ever been more committed to both REBUILDING our Great Military and SAVING our Great Country — And NOW is the time to make it happen, for Generations to come.

I am hereby calling on Republicans in Congress to IMMEDIATELY advance and pass the forthcoming $350 Billion Reconciliation Bill (Recon 3.0) — which, at the request of our Great Department of War — will include THE SAVE AMERICA ACT as well. No games, no delays, and no weak compromises! Do this ASAP.

I've never understood this. Was the tan suit controversy silly? Of course. But why not compare this to Obama's record of drone strikes, prosecuting whistleblowers, austerity politics, deportations, etc.? Obviously Trump has done things infinitely worse, but the tan suit stuff is just lazy.

I am a big fan of Kevin, but this is ultimately the problem with Aaron posting quotes from a video while posting the whole video: people read the quotes and don't watch the video. Is this video racist? 100%. Does Comer mention voting even once? No. This is a video about Medicaid fraud.

Collin McDonough @cmcdonough.bsky.social · 09/06/2026
This is one of those self-fulfilling prophecies. He mentions Minnesota specifically. You know why? Because the people who WERE committing fraud there are all being prosecuted (and the ringleader was a white woman). He's worried about the fraud that was already caught.

The Rs pulled out all the stops. They all verbally expressed that it was rigged and couldn't express anything other than "the count is slow." They sent the DOJ to oversee it and found nothing. "Election fraud" is irrelevant to Dems now. Let them get as angry as they want about it. It means nothing.

Haley Stevens has received large contributions from 11 of America's 20 largest corporations. Her campaign is completely kept afloat by dark money, and she keeps bragging about her role in the auto bailout because she has absolutely nothing to highlight in Congress. Vote @abdulelsayed.bsky.social

Collin McDonough @cmcdonough.bsky.social · 09/06/2026
Lmaoooooooooooo. Haley Stevens: 1. Almost 90% of campaign contributions to her were large-dollar 2. Only about 17% of her contributions came from Michigan 3. Has not introduced or even COSPONSORED a single bill that has gotten close to becoming law in the last two terms. Not a single one.
Tweet from @PatrickSvitek: the first TV ad from AIPAC's super PAC in #MISEN is positive for Hailey Stevens and features a clip of Obama praising her work on his auto rescue task force.

1/3 In 2016, after Trump had locked up the Republican nomination, Cruz was asked to speak at the convention in Cleveland. His campaign knew they had three options: 1) don't speak; 2) speak and don't endorse; or 3) speak and endorse. In maybe the only time Cruz has ever shown principle and backbone

My thoughts on Platner are irrelevant, but I can't figure out who commissioned this incredibly sloppy poll. It shows Platner's favorables as much higher than Mills or Collins, and then it lists every single controversy he's faced the entire campaign--immediately before asking who you'd support?
Toplines from the poll showing Platner's favorables being 12 points better than Mills and 9 points better than CollinsThe two questions immediately preceding the "who would you support" questions.
The question asks what negative things you've heard about Platner in the last week and then lists every single thing that has been criticized about him the entire campaign

Maybe there's something I'm missing by not reading the article? This is just reiterating what existing SCOTUS precedent is: federal courts do not typically hear gerrymandering cases under the Political Questions Doctrine. Obviously now that section 2 is gutted, isn't this completely expected?

In 2016, after Trump has won the Republican nomination, he sat down with Rove to learn about electoral strategy. Trump had absolutely no idea what he was talking about, including insisting that he'd win both California and New York. Without Rove and their constant meetings, there would be no Trump 1

For Stephen Miller. 1) He's so masculine that college classmates noted he was nearly bald by the time he graduated. He was simply so strong, the hair so feminine, that he decided he didn't need it anymore. 2) he's so thick-skinned and confident that he made his wife dox someone for calling him ugly.

They're treating this like it's a murder trial and they're waiting for a conviction. You posted the direct quote. It's right there. He didn't "apparently" call James Talarico transgender; he called James Talarico transgender.
Trump Under Fire for Apparently Calling James Talarico ‘This Transgender’ on Fox NewsAs he went on, Trump bemoaned the left’s stance on the inclusion of transgender athletes in sports, noting, “They won’t change men playing in women’s sports. They won’t, you know, this transgender, this guy running in Texas, he says there are six genders. He wears a mask all the time. He’s a disaster candidate.”

I'm going to post a thread that might be useful for the 20 states that still haven't given in to Trump's blackmail. I never, ever use the other site, but I just got on to see the Zohran reactions, and this was at the top of my feed. Thread 🧵
Tweet from right-wing reporter Dave Bondy: Michigan taxpayers could be forced to pay up to $300 million because the state refuses to share food stamp fraud data with the federal government. I quote-tweeted and said "Dave, as usual, peddling bad-faith bullshit tha he doesn't understand. Talarico's campaign should not get in the mud about any of the transgender or vegan comments. Focus on Paxton's pro-pedophile agenda, his history of public corruptness, his repeated infidelity, and how Republicans want to inspect childrens' genitals to let them play sports. Also call them weird!

One thing I think that often gets overlooked in Donald Trump's 2016 run is Jeb! Though he was longtime friends with Marco Rubio, Rubio embarrassed him in one of the first debates after Jeb! attacked him unprompted. Jeb! then proceed to spend $35 million attacking Rubio and only $25k attacking Trump.

I interviewed Haley Stevens in 2018 when she was looking to get my nonprofit's endorsement. Every question I asked, she responded with her role in Obama's auto bailout. I just watched the MI Senate Dem primary debate, and I counted at least 4 instances of her doing the same thing. Nine years later.

I still can't get over this because the RNC chair repeated the "Talarico believes God in nonbinary" line on TV a couple hours ago. We need to go back to the Tim Waltz strategy of straight-up just calling Republicans "Weird." (This talking point is off the charts weird!)

Tillis finally following the Leslie Knope strategy: "No matter what I do, literally nothing bad will happen to me. I'm like a white, male US Senator." Just an absolutely BRUTAL takedown from a member of his own party. www.nytimes.com/2026/05/26/u...
Senator Thom Tillis, a retiring Republican from North Carolina, is among those who appear increasingly unshackled. He mocked Mr. Paxton’s troubled past over the weekend on CNN in colorful fashion, invoking a comparison to a cannibalistic serial killer. “To call Paxton ethically challenged is to call Jeffrey Dahmer suffering from an eating disorder,” Mr. Tillis said. “This guy is an empty suit.”

Just some simple framing: the federal deficit in 2025 was $1.8 trillion. There are an estimated 51.9 immigrants in the US, with somewhere around 14 million being undocumented. If each of these 14 million individuals received $130k in federal benefits per year, Miller would be correct.
